Thanks OP grabbed 2. If you order a second phone at the same time, the line cost for that one is only $30 on the $50 plan, so I got the 2 for $180 plus about $20 tax. Also used Chase offer….

GV port info:
Account # is your GV phone #
Pin you have to create in your GV account settings by toggling on "Call to listen" under voicemail settings.
later during activation/port at Total site, use "other" as your current provider.\
Based on info in this thread as well as info found on google, it is recommended to use google's address if you are porting a GV number and are asked for an address when providing port info for your 'old carrier':
Quote
:
If your new carrier asks for an address, you can provide them with Google's Address: 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043. That's it! Once you've provided your new carrier with the necessary information, they should be able to port your Google Voice number over to their service.
Port will take at least a few days.
Once activated, Text UNLOCK to 611611 (send it twice, it wont work first time) to confirm your unlock date. (approx. 60 days) The unlock is automatic and sent from apple servers. And it will unlock from anywhere in the world.
You are NOT required to pay for a second month of service!
**Confirmed it doesn't work with a Verizon prepaid SIM card inserted 24 hours after activating the phone on Total VZ sim card.
The iPhone 11 is very old at this point, I wouldn't recommend anything older than the iPhone 12.
I had an iPhone 11 up until 2023 and the main issue was that the chip would get crazy hot. Battery was also affected by that
I was using an iPhone 11 like 6 months ago and it was behaving totally fine. Disagree that it's not usable right now, and the battery life will be right up there with the 12 whose battery life was natively poor.
Got 2 of them last week. Ported Google voice. Pretty seamless transition, though it took a couple of days for the Port to go through. $110 after taxes, only 2 month wait to unlock, cashback on certain sites, definitely recommended..

Hm... odd. I just got an email for a "security alert" about trying to add a new device to my account... and then subsequently got a shipping notice email.
Nothing from GV yet to pay to unlock...
I just got this email as well "Security Alert: Account Updates". No shipping email yet and I haven't unlocked the GV number.

hmm.. trying to activate/port 2 GV lines. on second one I get an "error alert" saying cannot be processed at this time. Anyone else have to wait between 2 ports? it pre-populates the fields on the 2nd port/activation with the 1st port and has an "unlock & edit" button on page. don't want to click that and possibly messup the 1st port as well.

I also need to transfer my GV. What did you choose under carrier. Other?
just called the physical total store and at first they said no it would be $150 for the phone...then the guy called me back a minute later and said he looked at the updated sales sheet and you can get it in store for $50. would miss out the cashback website money, but i'm guessing will still get the 15% from chase making it $85.
one store i called said something about an activation fee but the one that called me back i said "so it will be the same price of $50 + $50 first month" and he said yes. might try later today and report back...me and my mom are using XRs and mint yearly plan (mint offered $180 for 15gb or $240 unlimited to stay) that runs out at the end of the month. would probably use the phone a month then switch to spectrum's unlimited plan that's $30 for two lines (will have to switch back to our XRs until the verizon phones unlock at 60 days).
Very reluctantly, decided pull the trigger. The main advantage is it being a backup phone for me, but also you can flip these for $170 trade in value at the Apple Store.
Veriff verification was positively a PITA, not only do you waive your biometric rights away, you cannot do whole purchase process on a mobile device, because it would stick on "Wait a minute while we verify your documents" even though it had already approved them. Had to switch to desktop and the handoff to mobile and back was the only way to get it to work as Safari wasn't cutting it. I feel sorta bad to the dude in India who is looking at 7 videos of me staring at the camera with increasing frustration, but at least he's getting paid for it.
Can you trade in more than one of these at Apple store towards a new phone? Or is it only 1 trade per 1 phone purchased at Apple store?
Is the limit 2 phones per person? And do we need to do 2 separate transactions or can we order 2 phones o\in one order? If separate orders can we just use the same account/info from the 1st order and place a 2nd order with new port in number?

From what I remember you would have to trade all but one for the reduced price, 160 I think for a gift card, then use 1 for the $170 and use the gift card(s) to pay out the rest.

Thanks for the info. Didn't know they had physical stores? Are these authorized retailers?
