Taking delivery of new Mercedes Benz - things to look out for

(Not sure if this is correct forum for this but posted at The Finance forum too...pls delete if it is not belong here.)

Hi guys - Few questions when taking a delivery of new Mercedes Benz car at the dealership.

I would like to know what to watch out for and look out for when taking delivery at the dealership.

Also, I have completed all charges i.e. title, tax and tags etc... Are there any additional charges and options I would expect the MB dealer to throw at me when we are there?

Make sure they don't pull the old switcharoo and give you Mercury. Easy thing to overlook.

What kind of car was it, again? laugh out loud It's like an ivy leaguer who constantly finds ways to drop their alma mater into the conversation.

Picking up a factory new vehicle shouldn't be any different at one dealership than the other. Check your paperwork to make sure everything is as agreed (you should have already haggled/turned down all the extras like warranties and various protections), confirm all the stuff they have to do like scheduled maintenance, and check with your insurance agent beforehand to make sure you're covered driving off the lot.

From personal experience, I'll say you'll also want to check all the options/packages you purchased. My current vehicle was the first I ordered from the factory, and I haggled to get some things installed (locking lugnuts, wheel well splash guards, body molding) for the same or less than they'd have cost me to be done after the fact. However, a couple were missing, so the dealership got them and installed them (for free, obviously) within about a week.

Again, in my experience, all the negotiation was done previous to delivery/order, so I basically just checked everything out, delivered my trade-in, got the standard walkthrough of all the features of the new vehicle, and drove off the lot.

1. Don't ever take delivery until after 3:00pm. Ever.

2. Tesla Model S or you're a pretender. Just sayin'.

I think the thing I'd be most upset about at delivery is if they gave me a Mercedes Benz.
