Do you have a hotel yet?

I don't have a hotel yet. it looks like some of the hiltons will let me use the Government rate even without official travel (some hotels do, some don't), which looks to be $98/night +tax, and between 25 and 30/night for parking, if I drive

The French Quarter is safer simply because they don't want tourists getting mugged or shot so they have better policing of the FQ.

So for considering a hotel, use these streets as the edge of where you get a hotel. Conti to the west, Dauphine to the north, Ursulines to the east.
anyway, enough messing around for a Sunday night, I really need to get to bed.
g'night AMT

There's also a lot more to New Orleans than just drinking. I'm not a drinker yet I love New Orleans for the music, the food, the wonderful people there as well as the history and architecture of the city. As a photographer, you would love the photo opportunities there. New Orleans is the most European of any city in the US. It's the next best thing to going to Europe.
It's late and I'm headed to bed but I'll pm you tomorrow with some stuff that I think you would enjoy.
I'm copying my files as best I can, worst case, I start over and reisntall everything, but I should have at least a copy of my photos, videos, etc
also trying to figure out the New Orleans thing on the side, too. the hotels thing is driving me
