If you live near any type of water where kayaking is popular just keep an eye on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist. A lot of people buy kayaks new and only use them a few times. You can get a basically new kayak for much cheaper.
If you've been looking and feel the value is there on these then jump on it. When looking for used sometimes you have to wait for the right deal to come along and that doesn't always fit everyone's time schedule. It really comes down to what works best for you.

I'm definitely not saying these aren't a good deal at this price, especially for brand new. I just wanted to provide a little insight. Either way happy kayaking!
sounds like a great idea, but I'm having trouble finding anything locally as nice as these for under 200.

Been looking into buying a kayak. These seem like good deals. I even found one in my area so no shipping charge!

I bought an Eagle Talon last year for around $330 when they had it at this price and they had a 20 percent off coupon. Great kayak!

So, what is the best type/size Kayak for cruising on the Chesapeake bay rivers (Chester, Corsica)? Need good tracking against wind, decent stability against occasional wake, and decent speed.

What's the catch since it's so cheap?

The good deals for used kayaks are gone in a matter of hours. I have been in the market for a couple of months and all have been snatched quickly. For brand new kayaks, I think they are good deals that fit my budget (rec). If they include paddle, it is even better!

Thanks OP

you would want at least a 12-foot kayak. but Idiod see the fusion kayak and it has a nice narrow profile. the more narrow, the better it will track and cut through the wind. wide and stable is slow and will not be as fun if conditions drop.

I have a 10, 12, and had a 16. I love my 12 the most... I sold the 16 and the 10 is kept at my mother's house for when I visit... which I am about to do... this deal is right on time. I want to upgrade it to a larger kayak.

Does anyone know if the $180 Trailblazer comes with a paddle?

I wish I knew more about kayaks to invest in one of these. Have only gone a handful of times with friends, but enjoyed it quite a bit. Damn near died in some rapids a few times though.

I grew up in that area! I'm in Maryland now and you're right, it's hard to find anything nice on CL around these prices
