It's a solid deal but from what the critical reviews says it's a concern on thermal management and half the exhaust on the back side isn't real.

Also these don't have the aeroblade 3d fans.

Honestly a solid deal considering the specs. If I didn't buy a laptop a week ago I probably would of ended up buying this. I've seen a couple of of 3GB 1060 laptops in the 800ish range over the past couple of weeks but those were refurbished and/or came with a TN panel, last gen processor, spindle drive, rebate, etc.

I want one but it's $50 away from my budget of $1000. Dare I live the American dream and put it on a credit card, pay the minimum every month, and go further into debt? Decisions decisions. Cause 'Merica!!

$150 more for G-Sync and a 17" screen. HDMI and display port.

This laptop is a fairly solid deal, but beware of what it's missing.

A MSI GL62M 7RE-407 from Amazon. It's up to around $1000 now but at the time it was $799 and had a $100 rebate.

yeah, gsync is a must have these days. but thermal wise it shouldn't run too hot given the efficiency of the cpu/gpu even at full load.
