Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I had the exact same problem, had to go to the store to get the process completed (it was not for this promo, but the G6 promo yesterday). Anytime she tries to open a bank account or anywhere her SSN is required, its a hit or a miss - many places don't "recognize" her. She has quite a few credit cards, has a great score and has almost 7 years of credit history.

I have still not been able to decipher the reason some places can't recognize her SSN. My theory is that when she applied for her's 7 years ago in the north east, a number was given out from a newly opened up range of SSNs. Many systems have still not changed to accept the new range yet. This is just my theory - I actually haven't met or seen anyone else with a similar problem - not sure if your wife also is in the same league. I have no idea how to get over this problem.
My guess is that there is probably something wrong with one of her reports. There are 3 agencies and different companies/credit cards pull different ones. She should get her free credit report from each company and see what the problem is herself.

I don't think you can claim referral retroactively - I believe it was the case before... but now, the referral website explicitly says that you need to "unlock the offer" before becoming a new customer.

The T&C says this (https://refer.sprint.com/common/terms.pg):

"Referrer's existing account registration at sprint.com/referral and referral messages sent to a referee must be prior to the referee's opening of a new account and activation of a new wireless phone line. Referrer's existing account must have been activate for at least 48 hours prior to a referee's opening of a new account and activation of a wireless phone line."

We might be better off to unlock the referral before opening a new account
Thanks for the clarification.

your own sim will work. but fighting for $13 less with a possibly clueless agent for maybe 1 hour, sounds frustrating

1. This is possible, you can sign up anywhere as long as it offer gophone plan and ATT sim.

2. I use the 0.25 plan because I believe this is the plan which you pay the least money I believe if you order a monthly prepaid, you most likely need to pay for the month first. (but I could be wrong)

3. In my case I pay the $10 (the min refill amount)refill because I need to get my account number to port my number and the only way to get the gophone account number from ATT is talk to a rep which I am not sure they will give you the account number if you never refill the account, so I pay up $10 anyway. If you can get the account number without any refill done then yes you can save $10.

4. Yes you can use your own sim, (which I have one) but you need to call to complete the activation, no way to use your own sim if you try to do it online.
Thanks again for your reply. I'm trying to figure the timing/sequence of the following 3 things: 1) buy the ATT gophone sim card, 2) port in my phone # from Ting to ATT gophone, 3) sign up for the $0.25/min plan. Should these 3 things all happen at the same time? That is, when I order the ATT gophone sim card online, I will be buying the sim, porting in Ting # to ATT, and signing up for $0.25/plan all in the same transaction? Will the website prompt me to do that?

If this is incorrect, what is the correct sequence of these steps? Thanks again for your help.

crap.... now I know for sure, I'm getting what I'm paying for
see the crawling LTE speed (1-2Mbps) compared to T-mobile (10-13Mbps).
and I live in suburb where wasn't T-mo's strong suit

In the photo,
Left: iphone 6 on Sprint Unlimited "free" plan (guess I'm paying $10-15 in tax/fee after all)
Right: nexus 6p on T-Mobile $30 Walmart plan
Sorry to hear that. Depending on your iphone 6 model you may be missing sprint spark band 41. With that said, you should be getting speeds better than that.

I signed up today, not holding my breath on getting the sim card "overnight" based on what others have said here. Too bad because I was hoping to have it for my trip that I'm leaving for on Friday morning.

how did you sign up for the $.25 plan?

is that limited to certain areas?

website let me purchase, but now it won't let me sign up after I purchased the sim at B&M.
I did it online so not sure that 0.25 plan works with a sim from B&M

IF you want to do B&M maybe TMobile prepaid might work better, some other here also mention Freedom Pop (GSM 3in 1 SIM) and PureTalk as alternative.
But I dont have experience with those, only read it from other

For me I purchase the SIM, transfer the number and select the plan all from ATT website in 1 transaction. So once I received the SIM all I did is put the SIM in the phone, wait for the port to complete. Once I ported the number then I called Sprint to get the deal.
