Like many of you, I was with Ringplus in the past ported to Ting earlier this year. My phone initially showed up as ineligible even though it was no longer was tied to any active Sprint or Sprint MVNO (like ting) service. If you were in a similar situation try this:
Log in to your old ting account that involved the phone.
Go to "Device settings" on the left menu, and wait for it to load.
Make sure your phone is not listed in the "active" table
Delete all devices in the "inactive" table
Check on sprint's website in 5 min
My previous phone was listed as an inactive device (likely placed there after I ported out the number). Once I deleted it, it showed up as eligible within a few minutes.
Hope this helps some of you! thanks OP for this deal!
Had an unlocked iPhone 7 that showed eligible for promotion. Called 866 number and the rep knew exactly what the offer is. She waived the activation fee and I had free sprint sims lying from previous deal. I provided my account number and PIN from ULTRA mobile. When she processed the order for activation the number was ported in few secs and my iPhone 7 is now activated with my number on sprint.
I confirmed by logging into online account and it shows as Free 1 year BYOD plan, free with $5 auto pay discount till 7/31/18. So far all looks good.
Sprint referral program WORKS! If you are going to be porting over a bunch of lines, make sure you all add each other as referrals so you can get a $100 or $50 VISA gift card.

make sure the name matches. I had an issue with the port because the name didn't match, once I corrected, it worked.

it works?
how do u know?
have u gotton referrals approved for this specifc deal?
edit the few referrals i have given for this specific deal are all still in pending stage..
i am not sure i will see any monies from that...but doesnt hurt to hope that i will
When I joined R+, I had two iphones and an android. It was really important to buy the right iphone/android sim card in the corresponding phone to get service working correctly. This time around, I used the same sim card that I already had in the phone from when I used it with R+ -> Ting -> Tello. So maybe people having issues with non-working sim cards are bc they got the wrong version of the sim card?
I ported my GV number via phone, but it took 3 days. I just said it was a T-Mo number and BS'd the pin (GV pin wasn't set up yet).
My plan is set up and working perfectly, except that I declined device protection while on the phone but it still got added to my account. I think they couldn't take it off while I was on the phone with them because the line hadn't been activated yet. Anyway, I did a quick chat online and they were able to take it off. So you should double check on the device protection fee!

my login is my account number and you should have an email with the account number, at least I did when I signed up for the $3 promo a few weeks ago.
