Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

once I enter my info and apply for the free service, how long does it take before my number is ported and I am able to use the Sprint SIM card?
or is it instantly......
If you want instantly, use the dedicated number in the wiki. Don't apply online. Go to best buy if you don't have a sim.

It took 4-5 business days for mine to be adjusted. I am on the correct plan now.
First to report this. Thanks. Should calm a lot of fears.

Thanks for the reply. Did you have to keep calling to get it "adjusted" or did it just happen?

Yesterday I wanted to swap. They are referring it to as flip-flop. Sales rep denied saying I need to wait 90 days. But I said I am not upgrading and I need to swap since I don't have the device for one of the ported number. He transferred me to Cust care. She did the swap but I got only dots on my cell signal bar. Its not displaying - sprint in the signal bar and I cant make any calls.
She tried ##Update# Did not work. Anyone had this issue with sprint?

Exactly what happened to me. Had to port out the number back to Verizon then and bring it back again! Very inconvenient but couldt wait this stupid back office promise.
And thank you for the reply. Did you have to buy a new SIM card for the re-port or could you use the same one?

Has anyone successfully done this with AT&T iPhone SE? My friend is with AT&T, and when he tries to verify eligibility, it shows up as incompatible.

Has anyone successfully done this deal with virgin mobile iPhone 5s? I know it's not on the eligible list but wondering if anyone has done it successfully or know if and how it can be done.

When do you need to provide port out information?
During first sign up or when you need to activate the phone after you have received the sim card?
Anyone here that signed up can help me answer this question?
I don't have port out information yet, but thinking I can just sign up first.
Thanks.
In my case, phone rep created my account before shipping SIM, didn't want my port info even though I had it ready. Provided porting info to new rep (at same number, not the number on the SIM packing slip) after receiving SIM (and then buying a compatible one at Best Buy because the one they sent me was wrong type).

Tell the rep not to check but to add the IMEI into the Sprint database first. The IMEI has to be added to the database first before it can pass the BYOD IMEI checker or be paired with any Sprint SIM. Once it passed the BYOD IMEI checker, it's considered open market device even though its IMEI still identifies it as a Verizon device. As long as you flash it to XAA or SPR firmware (both firmwares have Sprint CSC info), it will work on Sprint will all Sprint LTE bands turned on.
I think its not xaa or spr....its 930U or 935U something..is tat ok

It's only 24 hours for me, but I want to get on with my life and not worry about the "back office". So, when you ported out and back in, you used the same Sprint SIM card? Thought they were single-use only. When you port out, can you use the same BYOD with no problem? I'm using an unlocked Verizon iPhone 6 Plus. And, to get the immediate plan, can I port back in ONLINE or do I have to call the direct line again and get a rep to give me the plan immediately.

It seems that what's going on is the direct line rep is creating a blank account when the sims are ordered over the phone. Creating an account makes you a current customer who is ineligible for the promo even though you don't have your sim yet. People who get the sim on their own and do the "credit check, account creation, port-in" on the phone are successful because the account with Free Unlimited plan is done on 1 call. Pain in the Arse to have to deal with customer service.

Anyway, how long did the re-port process take and were you able to do it online even though the sim wasn't ordered online?

Dont even waste anyone time VM is Sprint MVNO unless you got the phone from another carrier, you wont pass eligibility or FED.

Thanks. Did the sprint phone associated with the sprint number that was ported to another carrier become a non sprint phone and become eligible for this promo?

First invoice for 1 line, 11204 zip. Easy experience since everything was done online, can't beat $4.25 a month.
