Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Sorry I'm sure this has been asked, but my wife and I are both on verizon but with old LG G2s which aren't on the eligible device list.

If I get us both new unlocked phones from say amazon, do I need to activate them on verizon first before I can switch them over, or do I just need the imei and current phone number?
You can do it with out activate, I got a new samsung s8 which not activate on any network and use an ATT prepaid phone number.

The whole point of this deal is to make people switch from other carriers to Sprint, Bringing a Sprint band phone to Sprint is kind of defeating the purpose don't you think??
I think the main thing Sprint wants to do is get as many lines active as possible prior to t-mobile merger:http://bgr.com/2017/06/21/tmobile...orts-2017/

Also, do I have to order the sim cards with the online link, or will the dipsticks in the sprint store sell me sims? (not sure if its worth even trying with the clowns at my closes store)
Eligible unlocked phones with Verizon number should work. I will order them online and activate online to be safe.

^^^Yes, I'm not too excited about waiting for the "back office" to do their thing either.

How can a/the SIM be reused? I get it that it would be the same SIM re-tied to the same number...but I thought that was a no go.
I tried going the cancel re-port route, but ended up with the same problem on wrong plan on new order too! Once they create account once, the online signup will not work anymore because your social is in the system. So you have to rely on telephone reps to sign-up again and I think they have problem because you are already a customer.

That's besides the point, i already have lines setup that were ported from other carriers. From what I've read its impossible to activate directly with Sprint a Boost phone that operates on the Sprint network.

Are you guys able to see your taxes/fees? I can see the plan, but keeps saying error or bill not ready yet. Initially, I got very slow data only 3G. How do I change settings for best performance? Data roaming on or off? Automatic or CDMA/LTE? Update PRL?

Can I activate a sprint sim card with an Iphones IMIE/MEID that is and will remain active on verizon? Basically having the MEID registered with 2 carriers at the same time

Basically just use the phone to active the sprint sim, then remove it and put the verizon back in and figure out later what phone to swap in it's place but at least have the line on the promo plan. I have a cricket number I could port that would be fine with not working for a bit till I decide on a phone to swap in it's place.

Probably not the cheapest, but definitely easy: T-Mobile prepaid. $10 cost for the sim kit from Amazon or T-Mobile and then just don't add any money after you activate the new prepaid line.
Quote from meuandbettyboo :
THIS. Another option is to go into att store and add a prepaid account go account (they dont check imei or anything), the minimum you can add is 10.00, which you will also have to pay taxes. Ask for the 2.00 day plan, then port away.

I think the TMOBILE option is better but I had an att store close to me so I went this route.
Please help. I'm trying to port out from ting to "another carrier" (then to sprint for this deal). For "another carrier", can someone please comment on "att go phone" vs. "Tmobile prepaid"? Which one is better?

I ordered an att sim card on the att website on 6/20 early morning and just got tracking info saying the delivery date is 6/26 end of day. The time is running out so I'm considering another route now, and saw some people seem to say that T-mobile option is better.

What exactly is the T-mobile $10 option? Can we walk into T-mobile store and get the sim and do the port-in from ting, and complete everything and get all the info I need for the spring 1-year deal (eg. new T-mobile acct #, pin #)? Is this T-mobile thing all for $10 and can be done quickly? Thanks for your help.
