Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

If you're wondering whether the customer name should match for the number porting to work, possibly, but it seems like most people have had it work anyway. You have to be sure you provide the correct account number and PIN or passcode information for the att account to Sprint though. So, make sure you have that information (you might need your friend to give you the att account number and PIN).

Are unlocked T-Mobile Galaxy S8+'s not compatible with the Sprint network? Can someone help me here
Some people said you can flash your s8 firmware to enable the frequency need for Sprint, but there always a risk of bricking the phone and it will certainly void your warranty if anything go wrong. Then after you enable the Freq, you need to somehow add it to Sprint database by submitting a Clickit ticket etc... then you can start porting after all that.

Good luck if you want to risk your s8 the simpler solution maybe just get an unlocked s8 from samsung and sell your Tmobile s8

BTW, the eligibility check did not pass when I tried the virgin mobile iphone 5s previously. I didn't do anything with that device at all, and all of sudden, today the checker said it's eligible. I'm not sure what happened.
Personally if I am in your case I will just setup iPhone 6S ASAP, then maybe try to add it after you have everything setup. Then avoid any problem if the VM phone is actually uneligible

Was able to get the promo pretty easily. I called the 877 number and the rep knew exactly what I was taking about. Took about 30 mins to make the account. Ported a number from freedompop, which was pretty quick as well; I had to call the porting number and they were able to activate my phone in 5 mins. All in all took about 45 mins.

Getting LTE service pretty much immediately as well.

I used an unlocked S8 from the other deal and the free sprint sim that Samsung provided.

Anyone who is complaining about Sprint customer service being poor is either lying or hasn't used it recently.

I have been in touch with a representative for the past 5 days who has scheduled and returned my calls regularly to help me transfer a total of 5 lines at 3 different times. She also would call me an hour later each time to help setup the iPhone after number port was done. Initially I had some difficulty and she was incredibly patient giving me step by step instructions and doing what she could from her end. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and knowledgeable customer service rep.

This has been by far the best service I have ever experienced. Currently I'm with AT&T and they are true nightmare to deal with over the phone. I plan to keep my AT&T account while using Sprint because Sprint isn't isn't super fast in my area, but this lady's customer service is what won me over and I will seriously consider ditching AT&T by the end of this 1 year period if speeds improve.

Thanks, I wonder why customer service didn't recommend this one instead.
Sprint has limited bandwidth on its cellular network, and its cellular network is over loaded/subscribed in most areas, where you see a lot of people complaining about slow network speed, that's why they are pushing more people to use the small cell/router with internet connection. The internet connection helps taking the load off Sprint's cellular network.

Sprint also skipped on this year spectrum auction. I have a strong feeling that Masayoshi Son is going to sell Sprint soon to free up some cash after Sprint pulls in record number of subscribers from this deal. He is tired of trying to revive Sprint and has new love for robots now Big Grin Softbank recently acquired Boston Dynamics and Schaft from Google.

That T-Mobile SIM has expiration date printed it?

Almost impossible to brick it because it's not rooted. You can always restore back to stock firmware with the Samsung Smart Switch if you screw up the flashing.

I called once when I saw it. They already knew about it. From what I can gather the tele sales people are instructed to put people on the plan if for some reason they are having problems putting you on the free one with the intention of switching it later.

It isn't them screwing up but a way to expedite the process of you switching.

When I first called to activate she mentioned that she wasn't able to do it. Then she talked to someone and it was done.

I also gather that the problem was that I was already signed up trying online and failed because of needing to confirm identity then signed up again with the telesales guy.
Thanks again.

I tried going the cancel re-port route, but ended up with the same problem on wrong plan on new order too! Once they create account once, the online signup will not work anymore because your social is in the system. So you have to rely on telephone reps to sign-up again and I think they have problem because you are already a customer.
Understood. Thank you.

There doesn't appear to be a place to do it online so probably call telesales 866-782-8777.

If you do it online initially then you add more than one lines at same time as it gives options to add multiple phones and numbers to check on eligibility screen..
Now youal already have one line so you have to call them to do it to get next line added...
