Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

In dallas i am getting 22Mbps down
See that's the thing: I'll get 20-40mbps is SOME parts of town, but that inconsistency is something I can't deal with. I mean I understand spotty coverage in Sugar Land, but 59/Wilcrest? Beltway and Westheimer? Downtown? The speeds are CRAWLING. Can't even use Spotify on the freeway. My wife is pissed lol. I'll probably call tech support one more time to see what they can do but I think this is just what Sprint offers.

So I bought an unlocked iPhone 7 plus from apple but it says it is ineligible. If I use a different imei from an old phone I have that is eligible if I put that sim into my iPhone 7 plus will it still work? Or is imei some how tied to the SIM card? Thanks will rep

I don't know why it says unpaid balance from Ting BYOD checker. I think that is not the same as failed FED due to subsidized device as you mentioned earlier because you said the device is paid in full; it could be other reasons such as outstanding balance (unpaid bills) from a wireless provider, etc. You can either order a GSX report (someone says it's $0.99 on eBay) to make sure it has a clean bill of health and no unpaid bills (outstanding balance) from a wireless provider or contact LiterallyUnlimited to look at your IMEI. He works for Ting and can look into your IMEI for more info. Keep us posted what happened.
I called sprint tech support saying I wanted to use phone on sprint network but it comes up as not eligible. She puts imei and gets error since it's not in sprint database. I asked if she can add imei to sprint database she says no. She says nothing they can do got talk to Apple.

I tried finding the answer to this but couldn't - can we swap phones for this free new line? When my mother-in-law visits from overseas I'd like to be able to swap the SIM I activate today to her phone. If it's another iPhone can I just drop the SIM in the new phone (doubt it)?

sprint sims cannot be swapped that easily and devices must be swapped through sprint, not just by moving the sim to a different device.

My friend is having similar issue with unlocked iPhone 6 Plus bought from Apple Store. It had been used on straight talk att mvno and h2o mvno. Apple Store had verified phone is unlocked. Calling sprint didn't help imei not in their database.

Have you used the 7 plus on any sprint mvno's. If the phone is not eligible on sprint network it won't be eligible unless something is done to fix why it is not eligible. We don't know what the answer is still working on finding the solution.

I remembered the answer, got sent to another dept for credit verification and they asked me some really easy questions and that was it, approved for 5 lines.

Sprint store said no sim for sale but the girl at Best Buy gave me three for free!

Spent a little over an hour on phone with Sprint, went pretty smooth but seemed much slower than needed to be. I may have failed the website credit check because I was a Sprint customer maybe 4 years ago, had to remember the answer to my secret question I had set up probably 11 years ago.
I don't see best buy website selling Sprint SIM, is it ymmv or they are sold only in stores?

Hi, did you really have to wait 5 days to get that info? Or did you decide to go with some other MVNO to port into sprint?
I didn't really have to wait, but it took arm-twisting and threats and calling back the next day. The cellular industry is scum. So many unnecessary roadblocks that waste our time, these employees' time for nothing.

Got 1 line with the promo using my Nexus 6 and porting from H20. Then transferred this line to my S7, freeing up my Nexus. Got 2nd line using Nexus and porting from ATT (free Sim from Best Buy). I would like to get more lines, at least one but maybe three more. Using my Nexus as a "mule" repeatedly would be tedious/cumbersome. Any other way. Another issue is the devices I want the lines to be on are not on the eligibility list, and are actually Verizon: 2 Galaxy S5's and an S4. Am I just going to have to bite the bullet and keep transferring off the Nexus, activating on competitor, and then porting and device swap again?

hey, just wondering, does a phone need this flag changed if all we want to do is swap it with another device already active on Sprint? Will this flag get changed automatically? If so, then I dont need to bother you anymore.
It completely depends on what flag is present on Sprint's side. If it's set to SPCS, you'll have no problems activating it on Sprint, assuming the balance on it is cleared to activate.

Also, there is no bother. This is part of my job!

Just wanted to give my 2 cents. I was on AT&T GoPhone (which I had just ported to from TelTik barely two weeks ago - God, that process was awful on AT&T's side) with an unlocked Verizon iPhone 6S so I decided to give this a shot. I'm in San Diego and ordered the SIM in the afternoon Thursday and the SIM arrived Friday afternoon. Tried to do the activation online early Saturday morning but no dice. Page kept hanging on the porting page so I had to call the activation number. Thankfully the rep knew I was trying to activate my line on the 1 free year deal (he was very kind and knowledgeable of the plan by the way and his English was near perfect, but I could tell he was Filipino as I am too). We got to a point where he said he needed to run a credit check and I said I already did that when ordering the SIM but he said I didn't(?) but I didn't care, I agreed to do another one as I'm suspecting the first one wasn't a hard credit check. He got the credit department on the line and this rep tried to do a credit verification by asking me four questions - none of which pertained to me so I obviously failed. I demanded to speak with a manager who had to personally go through my credit and verify who I was. I think my mom's information had gotten mixed up with mine somehow as our SSNs are only one number apart, although I haven't even lived in the same state for 10+ years. He manually approved my credit and we were good to go. The sales rep was shocked and said he'd never heard of anyone getting that overturned and that it was "really really really cool" that I was able to do that. Anyway, after that, everything went swimmingly. He did say I had to add the device protection for like $13/month (which I cancelled that night). I had to wait 15 minutes to put my SIM in. I put it in and I was getting "No Service" so I turned off my phone with the SIM in and then turned it back on. I had a few bars of LTE. So far around San Diego, I've never not had LTE. My speeds have been very inconsistent (which I knew going into this) but as long as long as I have service, I'm happy as I only really use my phone for email and Reddit, never stream. It's funny because at my house I can get like 10Mbps down and 0.3Mbps up on LTE (which is fine as I have wifi and don't need to upload anything), but on 3G I get about 1Mbps for both down and up. Just amusing to me. At work, I have great LTE service as well. So far, I'm really happy with the deal and can't wait to test it out in Mexico next weekend. I've also confirmed with my online account that I'm for sure on the 1 year free plan. I don't know how much my taxes will be yet but I don't suspect it'll be more than a few dollars. I'll probably leave after the year is up unless they give some kind of promotion, but I suspect I'll be going back to a 5 person plan with Cricket or GoPhone.

So I ported three lines over from Verizon here in Houston and the data spped for Sprint is AWFUL. I mean I thought it was a joke. Called Sprint tech support and they initiated the carrier settings update, and still terrible data speed. I'm talking being downtown Houston and Speedtest won't even initiate the test. I know it's free but I can't deal...not sure where I'm moving these lines to next.
Last year my son did intern at Dallas, sprint coverage was also terrible
