Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Has anyone who ported into this promo from FreedomPop had it go through quickly?
Yes, but I had to call 888-876-8381 (porting team).

In short, the promo rep submitted the order and told me to wait 15 minutes then power cycle my phone. The 15 minutes came and went and my phone didn't appear provisioned so I called the porting team as stated in this thread's wiki, and they said they were going to push through the activation. After about a 2 minute hold time, the porting rep said that the port had been successfully completed and that my activation was complete. I powered cycled my Nexus 5 and and sure enough, I saw an activation screen flash, and shortly there after the FreedomPop phone number was being displayed within Settings > About.

I got my port out PIN from FreedomPop prior to signing up. Your account number is your phone number, but the PIN is a unique 4 digit code.

That sounds like it just needs to be run through DNA. Have the local corporate store do that for you. Call them first, to verify they have access to it. No sense in going all the way up there if they can't help you.
He went to a corporate store yesterday they didn't help. I called sprint tech support they didn't help either. Said the system errored out when they input imei and there was nothing they could do and said to go to Apple Store.

If I had access to this tool, I would just do it for you. Alas, I don't work for Sprint. And this is the only way to get an iPhone serial number onto the whitelist.

My recommendation is to either call a different store or call the tech support number again. If the "system errored out", it might be that the iPhone has an incorrect activation policy applied, which means it can't yet be activated on Sprint until that gets changed. You can pay for the GSX report on eBay to find out for sure, but this might just be an extra step you don't need to take.

I just purchased the Moto E4 https://www.amazon.com/Moto-4th-Generation-Exclusive-Lockscreen/dp/B071YC3G5V/ref=sr_tr_3?ie=UTF8&qi... [amazon.com] with ads from Amazon. So you're pretty sure thats the correct SIM? I need to have one overnighted to me. Thanks for the quick reply

I now have 4 lines on the 1 year free promo deal and I opened up a 5th line under the $45/mo plan to get the LG G6 for $5/mo for 24 mos. Called Account Services to pay the LG G6 off for a total of $120 and then had it set to cancel by end of billing cycle. I didn't have to port for LG G6, just stated that I got in that deal when they offered it during Father's Day weekend.
Yeah that deal was only for one day fathers day.. i managed to get one too...
I thought you told you got 4 G6 by porting 4 lines...
So you mean you opened free year four lines even before fathers day and added 5th line on that day and now only closing one line...

When I did this deal I bought 2 unlocked phones and opened T-mobile pay as you go plans. Ported them over and opened the accounts with no issues. These phones are for my kids, since activating the phones I've gotten a dozen or so calls from all sorts of odd numbers (800's, different states, etc) on whats to be my daughters phone. Anyway, today on Sprints website I was easily able to change the telephone number. Was shocked it was so easy to do so if anyone else ported in a number they didn't like or wanted a fresh start on, you can do this from your account for free. Just FYI

hi,

can you explain how you did it?

I was stupid and put text free numbers...thought its over for me but I think based on your comment I have a chance of activating my account.

I checked with some people I know who work for Sprint and checked their internal database thing. Yeah, I'm 99% sure SIMGLW416Q is the correct SIM you need. You can also use the BYOD SIM kit.

Then, yeah, it probably just needs to be run through DNA and restored in iTunes to "finalize" applying the activation policy.

Very helpful. I got 1 number from T-mobile pay as you go as well, and today I got a phone call from someone looking for someone. Mine is just a dummy phone to get my 5th line. Will try your suggestion.

So to sum up buying an unlocked iPhone from Apple Store will not work on sprint becuase it's not on their database/whitelist? And in some situations if used on sprint MVNO to have the MVNO flag flipped?

This is a little frustrating and misleading as one will buy an unlocked iPhone from Apple Store to be able to use on any carrier.
