Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Best Buy sells SIMOLW416Q. They do not have SIMGLW416Q.

I went to three BB's in the Seattle area with family looking for non-phone items. Just out of curiosity, I inquired about the SIM. All three BB's have SIMOLW416Q. None of them has SIMGLW416Q. Price is $2.18 plus tax. I bought a few for my own experiments.

It is exactly identical to the one sold on Sprint's site as shown on your post.

The item description on the receipt is "SAMSUNG NOTE7 SIM CARD". Yes, it is for the now-defunct NOTE 7 as well.

Maybe you can use it on the Fandom Edition after the FE is released on July 7.

Note 7 Fandom Edition on WSJ [wsj.com]
Thanks for the feedback. The sim should work for the S8, S8+. Also should be good with the E4 and Z2 play.
Samsung better hope not one of those Note FE's catch fire.

I haven't read the 5000 comments, but I have a question for Verizon customers looking to re-negotiate their contract. (I live in the sticks, so using Sprint is not an option -- there's no service except right in town).

I pay 67.80 for unlimited talk & text and 2 gigs. (I have an iPhone 6sPlus) on a single line. The plan I'm on is listed as the Loyalty Program. I'm on a contract until October (because I bought my phone through Verizon). ETF (early termination fee) will be about $125 if I cancel in the middle of July.

I called Verizon saying I'm considering jumping ship for this incredible deal. They would not haggle on my deal (they offered to give me 5 gigs for $78).

I'm sick of paying so much. My question for all you veteran pros of the cell contract game is this:
Are there any tactics I can use to find a way to either a lower per-month cost or more gigs for the same price?

My only plan now is to go though the motions of making the switch to Sprint right to the very last step to see if someone at Verizon will sweeten my current deal.

btw, AT&T and T-mobile have pretty bad reception here and so aren't options.

It's all a game. I hate spending $815/year for cell service. Any informed suggestions would be welcome. thanks

Sounds like you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. With verizon being your only viable option, I would take a look at verizon MVNO's. A good place to compare and learn is here [prepaidphonenews.com] Good luck
Perfect link--thanks so much. Looks like I can save some big bucks through Verizon re-sellers like Boom Mobile, Ecomobile, and Straight Talk.
Boom Red [boom.us] looks like an improvement -- 5 gigs $45 before fees & taxes. I don't know what "throttled" means in this specific plan, though, and I don't see an explanation.
It looks to be a Verizon re-seller. Does that imply it uses Verizon cell towers to deliver LTE speed that will be identical to what Verizon is providing me?
Also some of the links are dead, and that's never a good sign. For instance if I click on Boom Red on this page [boom.us] (under Technical Support) -- nada.
Will call later, and check the others as well. If I could save $20 or $25 a month and keep the same Verizon quality, esp. with more data, it'll be worth quite a bit of effort to me.

It's only correct if you don't mind paying $90 instead of $0 Wink
Looks like you're stuck talking with more Sprint reps.

I think the Verizon mvno's are capped at 5Mbps for high speed LTE. Also Boom Red rates have no extra taxes and fees.

That could be just temporary plan before it's switched over to the free plan if you specifically asked for the free BYOP plan while signing up. Don't panic as this has happened to quite a few people. Don't try to upgrade as this will complicate things even more down the road. Keep calm and call Sprint. If they say they will fix it, give them chance and time to fix it. Reply back here if it's not fixed a week later, else we will assume all is fixed and well Big Grin

Keep in mind that most Verizon MVNOs charge extra for roaming, if you need to roam.

Ported over 3 lines. Enrolled in credit union rewards. Able to double or triple dip and get AA miles and/or $400 visa prepaid card? What is SDP? Also, saw the $400 visa prepaid card for healthcare employees. All 3 lines are BYOD/1 year free so do I have to open up a paid line as well? Thx.

ouch, that would be a deal breaker. I'll check it. Also I'll see if Verizon's pre-paid plans would save me $ compared to they $68 2 gig I'm paying them now.

Maybe try the Changeapn APP FROM THE play store. Open the app and on the top right , there are 3 dots. Click on that and click reset to default.

Restart . This will reset APN settings on the phone and get you back ion sync. Be sure to be on Wifi.

I had the same issue on my nexus 6. I always have this problem when I change carriers.
same issue with iPhone 6s plus. how do we do this for iPhone ?

Successfully ported another three numbers on a different account under my wife's name. No issues activating them online. Zero customer service involvement.
Where did you port the numbers from? I'm curious if you can port numbers from different accounts/carriers online or if all the numbers you port in have to be from the same account in order for online activation to work.

Thanks for the details!

I curious if anyone was able to successfully port in and activate 2 or more Google Voice numbers on the completely online without having to call in.

Thanks!

Total Wireless is now uncapped in some areas. Boom may follow. Also there is Verizon Prepaid if you have not looked at that.

By the way, Sprint includes Wifi Calling free on this offer and that can be as good as voice if you have low-latency wifi at home, on capable phones, regardless of signal strength in your area. It works for incoming and outgoing. Also it includes limited roaming on Verizon. But unless you are in a Sprint coverage area, they might not allow you to subscribe to Sprint at all.

Do carrier reset and then update profile. If that does not work, do factory restore via itunes to restore the iPhone as new out of the box.
