Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yes, they will work. Sprint has to change the PLBL flag to SPCS and add the IMEI (if it's not already on the Sprint database). For the LG Tribute HD, make sure it still clear FED. Unfortunately, not all Sprint reps know how to do it; so you may have to keep calling Sprint until you get someone who knows how to do it.
I had a Ting rep switch my LG Tribute HD to SPCS earlier today and it still comes up ineligible. Is there a way to check online if the issue is the phone not clearing FED?

i am having issues with data connection (when not on WIFI). Sometimes it goes on and off.
And when it is on, it it 3g and no LTE.
Phone is Google motorola nexus 6.
How do we get LTE?

Can someone please help?

Maybe try the Changeapn APP FROM THE play store. Open the app and on the top right , there are 3 dots. Click on that and click reset to default.

Restart . This will reset APN settings on the phone and get you back ion sync. Be sure to be on Wifi.

I had the same issue on my nexus 6. I always have this problem when I change carriers.

Phones are Galaxy S7 (unlocked version), Nexus 5 , LG tribute HD ... Used in ringplus and than is Twigby (when Twigby was offering free month of service for RP customer). After that , I cancelled service and ported to TMObile. All device show valid and free at ting and Twigby also confirmed they don't have it locked. But Sprint won't allow any of those device
Send me a message on Reddit at /u/LiterallyUnlimited and I'll investigate the MVNO flag for you. No promises, but I've already helped hundreds of people on this.

ting.com/byod should tell you if the phone won't clear FED. It'll have a message about an unpaid balance.

If the phone's already been switched back to SPCS, and there's no FED flag, something else at Sprint is keeping the device from activating. Alas, only Sprint can shed light on it for you.

Is that a sprint phone or a phone from one of the MVNO`s. If it is a phone from a MVNO, then it probably is not clearing the FED.

I'm not sure to be honest. Given that the switch to SPCS has been made and it passes Ting's BYOD checker but still has issues, there's probably not much else I can do. Probably time to just try a new phone that's on the eligible list.

THIS.

If the Tribute HD was a Boost phone, then ting's BYOD checker will state it has no FED agreement (true), that it's cleared for activation (true) and is not active (true). What ting's BYOD checker will not tell you is if Sprint has cleared this MEID to be active because it has met Boost's unlock policies.

I am not sure if the LG Tribute HD is eligible for the promotion. I am guessing that the inelgible message you talk of is coming from the website.

The Tribute HD can be put on this plan , but it has to be done manually and by somebody who is not fully conversant with the rules of the promo. The website will not let you do it as the promo has a set of phones and the website is apparently enforcing it.

This info is from a person who works in sprint backend operations.

Try calling and see if it can be done. Dont tell them what the phone is , just give them the IMEI.

Alternatively, use a phone from the promo list and swap the phone afterwards.
I remember you from the RP thread, where you tried to replicate akula bot and disappeared. Glad to you see you again... You people use/change so many usernames, this old fart can't keep up Big Grin

LG Tribute HD is prepaid device and is subsidized for its cheap price. It must clear FED first, else switching PLBL flag to SPCS will not work. If it was used on Boost as "re-sku" device, it's pretty much married to Boost for life until you ask Boost for a divorce.

What is the model number? Is it a Boost LG Tribute HD? Use the Ting BYOD checker.

I am still not sure if we can swap phone after I successfully ported in my number? If I swap to another sprint phone, will I be disqualified for the promotion? Anybody has done that? And what it said on your account after the swap? Thanks

Hi, I have "20$ Boost Mobile - LG Tribute HD 4G LTE with 8GB" - https://slickdeals.net/f/9438399-20-boost-mobile-lg-tribute-hd-4g-lte-with-8gb (Black Friday Promo)

At Ting it says to me - Great news!
Your phone is compatible with Ting.
Bring your LG Tribute HD to Ting and it will support the following services on our CDMA network. .... "
Looks like your phone is currently active. We can move your number ("port") to Ting and activate your phone in our simple activation process. Ready to go?"

I have it active in FreedomPop BYOD right now, you think it might work for this Sprint BYOD switch after you turn off my switch?

Thanks

LGLS676. Passed Ting checker. Switch flipped to SPCS. Has been used on R+ and Tello. Not sure if it's actually a Boost device.

I have posted this a few times. There are three separate issues here: FED, MVNO flag, and Boost unlocking policy. As long as you clear/pass the first two (FED and MVNO flag), you are fine because you are using it on Sprint network. If you want to use the phone on other carrier/network such as the iPhones, then you have to clear/pass all three (FED, MVNO flag, Boost unlocking policy). The Boost unlocking policy is for domestic SIM unlocking Big Grin

If it's Boost LS676 and not "re-sku" Boost and passes FED, you are fine. Just ask Sprint to add the IMEI. May take a few calls. Good luck Big Grin

If I deactive / remove my phone from CellNUVO, I will probably lose my phone number which is required when enroll in Sprint one year free plan?
Thanks!
