Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I bought it from BBY as well. They couldn't get it to Scan appropriately, so in the box for MEID? they put a bunch of zeros. Is that what they did for yours? Or did they put the meid of your phone?

I am getting an error "invalid sim card" - I'm wondering if its because the guy put a bunch of zeros in the store?

Thanks!

I was also getting the same "Invalid Sim Card". I went to the corporate Sprint store and ask for the SIM CARD SIMOLW416Q. It still did not fix the error. After numerous calls and many Customer Support referrals, someone in the Porting department spotted that FreedomPop is considered a Land Line and it would take 3 business days to activate. However, she changed that to activate now. After rebooting, my phone is working and the invalid Sim Card error is gone. This is the hardest activation I ever did. I spent 6 hours on the phone and also have to drive to 3 different Sprint stores. Wasted my whole day.

Hope that helped someone.

A sim stays with the phone permanently as you move the phone from Sprint to Sprint MVNO to Sprint to Boost etc..
You can reassociate a SIM with a different phone if it is the right type of SIM for the new phone.

i have Tmobile and i am planning to sign for this offer from Sprint, but i want to keep my tmobile service active. Can i use the same phone (nexus 6 Motorola ) one day on tmobile and the next day on sprint? or the phone need to be removed from Sprint system to be able to be used back on Tmobile?
You have to port in a number and if you port your TMobile number in, it will terminate your TMobile line.

I'm trying to get an E4 to activate on Freedompop. I've tried both of the 416Q SIMs, but I just keep getting "Invalid SIM" errors. Did you need to do anything special to get your E4 onto FP?

Quote from ECartman
Your FreedomPop number hasn't ported yet. Look in the wiki and call the porting dept, they will do something and voila your FreedomPop number will port in a few minutes. Once your FreedomPop number ports, your Invalid SIM error will resolve.

Maybe I misunderstood your post, or maybe your misunderstood mine. Let's take another shot at this.
I read you post to mean the following:
-You had a Moto E4 activated and working on Freedompop
-You then ported that line\phone from FP to Sprint

I am not trying to get in on this Sprint deal. I know I should, but it just seems to complicated to me.

I was interested in your post because I am currently trying to get a new Moto E4 to activate for use on Freedompop (as a Sprint BYOD device) and my understanding of your post was that you had a Moto E4 working on FP, Therefore I was curious as to how much trouble (if any) you had getting it to work on FP.

Clear as mud!?

I tried my best to search this thread but A LOT of content here. So i bought an S8+ unlocked on the samsung.com deals, and was about to activate on verizon when I saw this thread (finally upgrading from an s4!!!). Do i need to first activate my phone on verizon's network (called and they said just go to verizon store and they will give me a SIM for S8+) or do i just activate directly by acquiring a Sprint SIM? Also, what is the "safest" method to get the Sprint SIM - store, online, call? I saw in the wiki there could be pitfalls to getting SIM other than online and I dont mind pay the $10 or so to get one shipped to me.

As a sidebar, I was intended to stay on Verizon cuz i picked up a Gizmopal thing for the kid (i think that specific device works on verizon) but if I goto Sprint I dont think there is a comparable option - thoughts?
Any answers here???

Yes that is true and have done it in an emergency but ONLY IF the phones both use the same sim part (which will NOT be the case in general). .

I think it is better and easier in general to tell people to get a new sim for the new phone ($3 from Twigby) and that way both sims can be left in place forever in their respective phones with no more touching the sims as you move the phones around from Sprint to Sprint MVNO's etc.

Every time people move sims, there is some risk of bending pins etc.

That's what I just said. Why are you repeating what I already said?

What you said before was wrong. I corrected you.

No, that isn't true, it is entirely dependent on the new phone. For instance, if you have iPhones, they use the same SIMs so to switch between iPhones you just reassociate the SIM with the new device.

I am not sure if you are aware but "not in general" means means "not in all cases". You seem to think it means "not ever."

It will NOT be the case IN GENERAL that the person wants to swap from an iPhone to an iPhone. It will be the case in SOME CASES. But this is besides the point. Even where it is possible, it is usually inadvisable.

It is not. If you handle enough phones you will have wrecked one or two by bending the pins. I have. Do you have a perfect record?

Thanks ... Normally, i have a spare number for porting, keeping one number with T-Mobile. My main number is Google voice, so ...
