Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

The Verizon prepaid SE was not able to activate on other carriers after that date. There were also issues activating for Verizon and Verizon prepaid also.

No, Sprint won't whitelist it.

Yes if you reassociate the SIM card with the different phone assuming the different phone is compatible with the SIM card you have. Or get the right type of SIM card for the different phone and activate it on the line.

But the different phone can't be a TMobile S8 since Sprint won't whitelist it.

Ok. Thanks. Why are they not whitelisting the phone?

Because it doesn't work on Sprint out of the box, you have to flash it to Sprint firmware and they don't whitelist phones that have to be flashed to different firmware.

Ummm, Sprint will actually bar every devices w/ no Sprint F/ware.

How the heck Sprint comes out w/ a list of BYOD supported devices and, now, it changes its mind to bar some of these devices (especially, w/ no Sprint F/ware)...???

Thanks, then it looks like Sprint is different from Verizon.

The main problem that poster has is that I bet her iPhone 7 is not paid off and if she ports out, the balance owed will come due. Or if she has a contract, then there will be an ETF.

I doubt he can just AOL the line from another Sprint account and have it qualify for the free plan.
you're right, I don't think it will work. she is under contract and her iphone is not paid off

for the moto e4, what exactly is the issue with the sim card? do you have to buy one somewhere no matter what, or will sprint send you one? from what I've read it sounds like sprint doesn't know you need that specific sim card? but sprint says they'll ship you one, so do they send you the wrong one or what?

If her iPhone is financed and not paid off and she ported her line out to a non-Sprint prepaid carrier, the balance owed on the financing agreement would become due in full on the next bill on her current account. If it is a leased phone, she would owe the remainder of the lease payments plus the buyout amount. If the line is under contract, she would owe the ETF.

The only way to prevent the charges on her current account is for you to do a change of ownership of her line into your account. But I don't think that would qualify for the free plan and then you would become personally liable for the amount owed on her phone, which is a bad idea in case you break up you would have to pay off her phone.

So the only way I can see to do this would be to port her out to a prepaid non-Sprint carrier and then port her back in. But that would result in the charges to her old account.

You could also just create a second free line now using a prepaid number and then at some later date, port her number out of Sprint and back into the free line but some people are saying you have to wait 120 days to do that. You would still have the issue with the charges to her old account but by then a few more months of payments would have been made.

Anyone have luck activating a S8+ with SIM ending in W446C (picked up at Sprint store and they are adamant they have activated S8+ with that one)? I've searched through the thread and saw couple posts where that one did not work and the recommended one is W416Q. None of the stores around me have one. Would it be best just to order online - any chance they send me something other than W416Q?

No Sprint and TMobile's networks are completely separate. You can swap SIMs and use the phone on either carrier.

I had opened a new line with eligible phone. Now can I use the sim in another phone which support sprint network? Do they change my current free plan?

Thanks. I read somewhere that Sprint will lock the IMEI with their service and cannot be used with other carriers. So it's not true...right?
