completed port over for my s8+. 1 down 2 to go...

i still need to port out the 7s+ from sprint. H2O wireless SIMs should be here tomorrow - any special instructions to port the 7s+ line out to them (create acct, call a number, etc)?
It's been said that H2O will make you wait 5 days before giving out account number and pin. Be sure they give it to you when signing up.

Guys, I went through the Google Voice route and unlocked my GV number, set a voicemail pin, got SIM card from this promotion, insert SIM and activated on Sprint's online portal. All work so far and Sprint say it will take about 10 minutes.

Now is 2 hours later and I have restarted the phone 3 times but still cannot make calls or get data. I try to set up a My Sprint account and I cannot do so using the GV number I have just ported nor the email Sprint has been contacting me with. The Moto X Pure is just keeping "Configuring your cellular network"

GV port usually takes about a day you need to call porting dept to push it through

I tried to port a number out of AT&T to H2O without funding the H2O line and the port failed. I didn't care about the number but the port failed. Then it created all kinds of problems trying to port it elsewhere because H2O was holding onto the number. So I just called to cancel.

Using the old SIMs that were previously used on Sprint with the phones is actually easier because you won't need to read the 20 digit ICCID over the phone to the rep. The ICCID will already be filled in in the system.
hummm, so when i am going through the process over the phone, how will they know to see the ICCID? Is that via the IMEI - it will show up when they enter that?

So are you saying there is a chance I could actually get my $200 visa gc without having any lines on the acct?

well, now my wife is thinking to add an additional line (hoorah for me Frown) and looks like her brother has a iphone 5s but it is AT&T. Would that even work - wiki says 5s needs to be VZ only. But it also says that for 7s+ but I checked mine on the sprint promo site and it was eligible. Thoughts?

Yeah, it must have been because it was an AT&T number. H2O is an AT&T MVNO.

When they add lines to the account, they ask questions about the phone number you're porting in (number, account number, pin, etc) and the phone you'll be activating on that line (IMEI, ICCID). When they get to the step to ask for ICCID for the SIM, it should auto-fill for them. Be sure to tell them that you have the original Sprint SIM for the phone. They will confirm the last few digits of the ICCID to make sure it's the same as what they have in their system. If it's not the same, you'll have to read the the 20 digits.

My rep actually asked right at the start of the process if I needed Sprint SIMs or if I already had them. He mentioned that if the SIMs were the original ones that came with the phone then he may not need to manually enter them.

All of my phones were originally Verizon phones and i got $200 VISA for all of them. I am going to start porting them out here soon, I will see if they do a chargeback.

I don't believe an AT&T 5S will work. Sorry.

It was probably due to H2O being an AT&T MVNO.
