Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

No one poo-poo's the idea of going to BB for a SIM card, if they have the right one in stock they will sell them to you for $10. However, you got really lucky that a rep gave you one for free, they are absolutely breaking company policy if they do that since you didn't buy a phone from them. They are supposed to ring them up. If they get caught not ringing them up, they can get in trouble.

I would not put someone in that position where they are risking their job. I would offer to pay.

I hear ya. I had no clue that was their policy and would nvr knowingly put someone's job at risk for my gain. I did actually did buy an iphone from bestbuy but not before i got my first SIM from the guy just by asking (for my s8). He handed to me like it was nothing so naturally thought it was fine. Anyway just passing my experience on which seems to be a one off.

I got charged for the $45 plan for the first month. Is this normal? It shows the correct plan now, but could I get a refund for that first month charge?

SIMGLW416Q should be SIMOLW416Q !!!
That's the SIM I have in both of my Moto-E4s.
Those two are equivalent. Either will work. The O versus G is just the manufacturer location code. Sprint dual sources all sim parts to ensure supply.

i found this site fairly helpful for finding the right SIM for your phone (or do search on this post):

https://help.ting.com/hc/en-us/ar...r-SIM-Card [ting.com]

since you are in a time crunch, I would try a store to get it. I had luck at the bestbuy mobile area - they just handed me the SIMs that I needed (others have poo-poo'd this but if BB is close, just walk in and ask). If you have an apple product seems the apple store will get you what you need for free. Also, bought one from a sprint store for $5 but ended up being the wrong one.

Which is another tip - make sure you tell them the exact model you need, wherever you go (ex - SIMGLW416Q its printed at the bottom the SIM credit card thingy).

If you end up trying Sprint store, seems like finding one that is a corp store is key. Better to try and call these stores so you can cover ground (I wouldnt call bestbuy - mine has like a call center intercept and they said they dont have SIM cards in stock without even knowing). Again ask for the specific model not just "do you have a SIM card for XXXX phone" - thats how i ended up getting the wrong SIM initially. Good luck!
thanks for the info ..so i have an iphone se.. youre link was to ating site .. is that hte same for sprint also for the se there are 2 model numbers lol... hmm Part SIMOLW416C and Part SIMOLW506TC .. which one would i choose? the cdma one so Part SIMOLW506TC?

so its midnight sunday .. if we order off the site will it get here in time on monday? do any carriers even ship on sundays? is there no other choice but to buy the sim from the store? i'm just worried about receiving the wrong sim as some of you guys said sprint has like 17 different sim cards lol...it doesnt say anywhere in needs to be activated by the the 31st ... maybe it needs to be ordered by the 31st?
You can get SIMOLW416Q for moto e4 using the following Sprint link, I suppose.
https://m.sprint.com/shop/mobile/...=112200916

Also, I called on Friday to add several lines and was told no worries to activate my SIM later as this BYOD has been extended again. I didn't checked the accurate date though.

can I use an old sprint sim card that was used on ring +. I ordered the plan yesterday online and they are shipping a sim card. I got a tracking number but currently all that I can see is the tracking number so not sure it will arrive tomorrow. I bought a sprint 3 in 1 sim card last year to use on ring plus. I wondering if I can go to the activate page and use that or if I need to use the one they ship.

The terms on the page say "Savings until 9/30/18" however some of the FAQs still say offer ends 7/31. Nobody really knows because Sprint probably has one intern running this entire operation.

If at first you don't succeed...
I'm in NYC so the next BB was about a 5 minute bike ride. There the sales associate said the $99 Moto E didn't say 'sold and shipped by Amazon' on the listing (she didn't raise the 'Prime' issue) so they cannot price match. The wording was a little different, 'Sold By Amazon'. (I began to wonder at how malleable, vague, and arbitrary their price match terms were, as if each sales associate and manger was a little Best Buy pseudo attorney interpreting the policy in their own fashion depending on what the customer presents). I didn't want to get into a semantic war with her. Instead, I asked her where she ate for her meal break and if there was any decent affordable food in the area. As we chatted about her favorite food, I showed her my cell phone after I placed the item in my Amazon shopping cart where it displayed the text: "Sold by Amazon LLC". She said that's fine and she paged her manager to approve it. He came over and seconded the burrito recommendation and approved the price match without asking for any details whatsoever. I also bought the Boost Sprint SIM package for $10.

So got it price matched for $99 (saved $30 & tax).
Nice! You scored by adding a little Love gas.Big Grin

@verniculous confirms the 506TC for the SE on post #7305 here

I also saw on this thread that one is a universal SIM i believe. Also since it is iphone perhaps the apple store will be willing to give you both?

It is the easiest to just do everything online and not waste time with the reps. Looking back, I only needed the rep to get the phone activated at the final step of the process rather than getting transferred 3 times and being given 2 different phone numbers to call.

On a side note: my daughter ported her Verizon number from my account yesterday to Sprint. No problems despite the fact the phone reps were pretty much clueless as usual. Just make certain you put the Verizon (other carrier) account holders name in the section for the port and not just the person whose number is getting ported.

After we went through all the hoops the phone still showed "no service." One final call with a wonderful lady who told us to enter ##....## on our phone and it worked right away. I forgot the middle numbers is why I left them out.

All set for one year of "cheap" service on the Sprint network. If my phones were "paid off" I would switch all five of my lines from Verizon to Sprint.

Is there any way to activate a boost prepaid phone that is currently on ting?

The phone doesn't pass the eligibility check.
