Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

No, you won't get it back. Autopay is never automatic, you have to agree to it and input your credit card info.
So I got hit this first month but won't in the next months?

The iphone 7 for sprint and verizon are the same phone and will work for the big 4.
Same except the Sprint ones are locked to Sprint.

Quote from mummy2 :
So get either a sprint or verizon one. But of course throw a verizon sim in their first to make sure it's unlocked
That will not unlock a Sprint iPhone. It only works if you buy a SIM free iPhone subject to the US Reseller Flex Policy.

And a Verizon iPhone is unlocked out of the box.

Correct. As long as you are signed up for autopay, you get the $5/mo autopay discount.

Is that what cases a SIM lock on an iPhone? I had an iPhone 5c that was on Sprint and then RingPlus, but even after Sprint supposedly unlocked (numerous times) it I can't use it on any other carriers like T-Mobile. I have no issues with other iPhone 5c devices I have.

On another note... have you or anyone successfully re-used Sprint SIM cards? I have a few from when I was with RingPlus. From what I've read, Sprint SIM cards can be used if not currently active.

If you have other lines with T-Mobile without a promotion, you may be able to get them to move the promotion to save it (I've seen them do this) if they're nice enough.

I would not waste my time on a used sim card. If it doesn't work then you just wasted your time and day.

I see conflicting messages in the wiki and the posts here. So need some guidance.

Can I setup a new byod account over the phone? I already have sim cards from the apple store and eligible phones, so don't need anything else.
I just did it over the phone last week, the rep knew exactly what I'm talking about so it's doable, if the rep doesn't know about this plan just HUCA

Doesnt the AT&T branded iPhone7+ have only the Intel modem ?
How can it even work with Sprint at all ?

It's on the back of your phone. Very tiny print: model Axxxx. T-Mobile/AT&T version should be A1778 or A1784. They do have Sprint LTE Bands (25, 26, 41), just don't have CDMA EV-DO Rev. A (800, 1900, 2100 MHz) .
