Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Was anyone successful in getting the AAdvantage Miles sign up bonus along with this offer? I just checked the status earlier today and it says I was denied due to the following reason:

"This offer is only available for qualified account types."
I got the same message: "This offer is only available for qualified account types."

Thanks Binar and edog11 for your contribution to the thread.

Just got off phone with Sprint, this is what I did and should be successful. Waiting for phone to be active and will create/check sprint.com account to verify.

Completely starting from scratch, no existing line, new phone.

1) Buy unlocked phone - disregard if you already have eligible phone (I bought iPhone7 plus from Apple Store)
Cheapest new phone that I found that should work is unlocked Motorola G4 for ~$110

2) Go to Apple Store get 1 T-Mobile and 1 Sprint Sim card. Free. They don't even ask your name or number, no appointment needed or anything. Just tell the greeter what you need and they'll have it brought out from the back and send you on your way. If your phone isn't compatible with iPhone Sim card, you will have to get a T-Mobile and Sprint Sim from another source. Some places will charge. May have some luck at Target or Costco.

3) Call T-Mobile 844-351-0700, press 1 to activate Sim under Pay As You Go Prepaid. They will ask your area code and assign you a phone number. They will create a PIN for your account. Your account number is 1 + (your new phone number). They will tell you that after the call that you need to load go and your account with $10 prepaid minutes. You do not have to do that.

4) Wait a few hours or overnight.

5) Call Sprint promo number 1-866-782-8777 ask to sign up for Bring Your Own Device Free Unlimited Year promotion. They will ask if you have already ordered a Sprint Sim, say yes. They will ask for IMEI or MEID and for the new phone number T-Mobile gave you to confirm device eligibility. They will ask for T-Mobile account number and PIN. They will try to sell you insurance plan. They may try to give you a free tablet. Decline. Will ask for Social Security number and permission to do a Hard credit pull. Auto pay sign up with CC required. They will set your account up with PIN, Security Question, email info, name and mailing address. Will go over terms with you. Done.

Free Unlimited Text, Calling and Data for 1 year. 10gb tethering per month. No Contract. No Activation fee. Should only pay ~$7 a month for fees and taxes if you sign up for Autopay.

I have MOTE e (Sprint) and LG Tribute 2 (Virgin Mobil)
I used them on RingPlus for a few months but as you know Ring Plus is gone.

The question is where I can use these phones?
Both phones are not eligible for Sprint. (I was shocked that MOTE e is not).

I think it still has RingPlus stuff on the phone (i am not a phone expert).

is there a way i can refresh it as a new (no attach ring pluse or whatever).
I see a ring plus number on the phone even I do the factory reset.

BTW, did you notice that Ring Plus website still work...lol

If they worked on RingPlus, which was on Sprint network, they will work on this deal. Ask LiterallyUnlimited (here or on reddit) to help you change the device ownership flag from PLBL to SPCS. He is a Ting employee and has been helping people change the device ownership flag for free.

I can't register IMEI for Iphone 5S. It starts with 01 and agent said system did not accept it. He said all iPhones start with 3. We tried serial number too and it did not accept it either. Does it make sense? I recently unlocked it officially through ATT so it not blacklisted

I have a Trial Caller Name Presentation - $0.00 add-on in my account. If I visit the 'Change my services' page there's no checkbox or option to remove that add-on, just one box in front of "Public Static IP address - $3.00." No other add-ons available.

Is Trial Caller Name Presentation that something I need to remove to avoid charges in the next cycle? My first bill has already posted, due Sept. 20, and there's no charge (yet). Searched this thread and only found a few mentions of Premium Caller ID - is that the same thing?

Also, every time I log into my account Sprint sends a text to my phone and mentions I might have to reset my password.

This is true provided they are not prepaid phones (which they may well be). There were loopholes that allowed activating certain prepaid phones on MVNO's. Those loopholes wee grandfathered for continued use on MVNO's and for moving between MVNO's but that grandfathering does not generally apply for use on Sprint Postpaid. .I know because I have Tribute HD's in that exact status. Sprint researched them exhaustively and told me NO. Literally Unlimited will not touch prepaid phones.

But if they were originally postpaid, or were bought outright from FreedomPop for example, and they released them, then yes, they just need to have PLBL switched to SPCS and Literally Unlimited will do that. I think he can check if they would qualify by doing that.

By any chance, do you know LiterallyUnlimited would change Boost Moto E or Boost Tribute HD flag from PLBL to SPCS? All mine were activated before Sprint enfoced FED rule.

Never mind, @comintel just answered my question.

I have 2 Boost Moto E and Boost Tribute HD, originally registered on R+ and now on FP. If I cancel FP account, do you think there is any chance of using them on BYOD post-paid, provided that LiterallyUnlimited is willing to change the flag? What confused me, is the difference between phones purchased from FP outright, and phones registered on FP. Are they both prepaid phones?

Did anybody get the promised AAdvantage 20K miles (https://sprint.com/AAdvantage) with this BYOD offer? I was told by both Sprint and AA reps that because of getting on BYOD plan I am not eligible for AA 20K+5K offer.Wink

Literally Unlimited will not touch them if they are Prepaid (and odds are they are - depending on where you got them)..

It really depends what locks are registered on them in the database.

There is no physical difference between a Tribute HD that is postpaid and one that is prepaid. But Sprint has records of how they were sold and used.

NEITHER of my original Tribute HD's was eligible, or could be made eligible by flipping the ownership flag either, because there were "multiple prepaid locks" set on them, Sprint said. This was despite the fact they are fine on MVNO's.

BUT I have now acquired two Tribute HD's cheap on EBay for around $25 each that are POSTPAID and they activate fine for this offer. You can buy ones with cracked screens and swap parts. Postpaid ones are relatively rare though. You have to query the seller closely to make sure they are not of Boost or SPP origin (which the vast majority are).

I found one right away, then it took me 3 weeks to find another.

Thanks for providing insight into Sprint draconian device policy. Man, my head is spinning now.
