Once again, make sure Sprint didn't add the $13 Total Equipment Protection. They added it to mine, I caught it and they said they'd fully refund me but now I see I only got a partial refund. Had to chat to get the full refund.
Follow up
Chat rep only gave me a partial of refund that was promised (so a partial of a partial then ScratchheadBash). Chatted again, this time got an EXTREMELY perky rep and gave me more than I was owed Smilie.

I just tried iphone 7 ATT by providing IMEI and phone number and it said I am eligible even though it says iphone 7 (verizon only). Checked with Rep by chat and he said if it says eligible then you should be. I immediately ordered new sprint sim.
Will I face any issues..? if yes what are the solutions..?
Or would I the first one tell about problems..? Confused

As long as Verizon will approve it when submitted by Sprint, should go through. Best just try it.

As long as you have the Verizon account # give your mothers name and pin correct it would work is my thought. If they ask ssn last four ( do not give your mothers as there is no validation ) this is based on my experience for tmo .. hopefully it would work for Verizon too. They do not care if sprint ac name and port numbers account name are different
Thank you both I will give it a shot. I thought it may have been something on sprints side that would give me issues, but after some googling, VZW allows port requests if you're an account mgr, so it should work.

As long as the phone is in Sprint's database it'll work. Doesn't matter if the phone is VZW, ATT, T-mobile or other

Use the Boyd imei checker on tello - if it shows phone is eligible, then you should be good. T-Mobile iPhone 6 ported successfully so it does not matter, Verizon is just an example.

I would have got sim from Apple for free. It should be okay as long as imei and porting number passed the Boyd test on sprint. URL below

It depends where you bought the att or tmobile iphone 7 and model number. The A1778 model will be gsm only(att/tmobile), usually sold at corporate stores. The A1660 will work on gsm and cdma(all carriers). These usually sold at like best buy or target. The A1660 is the one compatible with Sprint.

You got it correct. I bought it from Target. Repped. I think this info should be added to wiki to help others.
btw I bought the iphone 7 from Target while there was BOGO offer from ATT with $300 on each phone. Hope the sprint works fine in my area.

The phone reps told me they were required to add it at the time of the port but to just call back to cancel it on all the lines.

any luck with this deal using a boost mobile iphone that is sealed?
Just make sure it's paid off first by going to www.ting.com/byod

Then you can call Sprint and get them to add it your new line by saying it's an unlocked iPhone.

Yes, I've returned it. What's the big deal! I only needed a sim card. I was not going to pay extra for a sim. I even asked if I can get a free sim and they said no. Gotta know how to play the game.

Count me in. I also believe what you did is not appropriate. You bought an Iphone 8 with the intention to return it just because you want free simcard.

Who does that?!
