Is there an end date on this deal? I know it's been extended but I have to pay ETF with ATT and then unlock my device which they said might take a week and Sprint couldn't guarantee the deal would be active through any certain date.
It says the promotion expires on 10/31, so we should be good till end of the month I hope.

Meaning, just to be explicit, that the free period ends 10/31/18 (just over a year from now) but that the signup period could end any time now.

The merger announcement (if any) is expected in the earning announcements due out between about 10/20 and 10/31. I would guess that would be a likely time for them to re-evaluate this promotion. Once they either announce or abandon the merger, there may be little reason to keep the promotion going.

No. Sprint maintains separate whitelists for Boost, Virgin, and Sprint.

I'm currently on this promotion and if I buy the new Pixel 2, do I just have Sprint activate the phone and be all set? Is there any restriction on using phones compatible with the network but not on the promo list?

Ting checker passed for both CDMA and GSM, which is wierd -- I thought the phone was locked to Sprint CDMA only.

This was originally a Sprint locked phone on a post-paid account, and was used on Ringplus for a while after the contract finished. Based on the Wiki, I thought only the Sprint pre-paid phones are not eligible. Did I miss something?
If it was used on Ringplus, the phone must have been migrated to Ting and still must be listed under your Ting account. Log into your Ting account. Simply delete the device from your account. You will be good to go.

Let's say they finally pull this promo at the end of the month. Any chance we'll still be able to add additional free lines to our existing accounts after the promo end date??

I'm approved for 5 but only have 1 line, might want to add more lines later on.

I'm doing this in Portland on my unlocked S8, and man does the Sprint network suck compared to Tmobile. Everything is worse: speed, reception, wifi calling, voicemail, and especially audio quality. I'm struggling to stick with this at the price of Free. No way would I pay money for it.
