I was caught up in this thread, but I've seen some people say they got unlocked s8 working. I have tmobile unlocked lg g6 and s8 plus, is there anyway I can get them working on sprint, or am I better off selling and buying sprint versions. Also my service started around September 15, when would I be able to upgrade?

I'm having nothing but issues.

No luck online so first phone rep spends an hour checking both my Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 and has a hard time confirming if they will work and finally says they will so sends me a Sim card.

Received Sim card and call into activate and second guy says phones aren't compatible for an hour and than determines the wrong Sim was sent to me.

Waiting for new sim that is hopefully right to see if it will finally work.

Got both my Nexus phones from play store so don't know the issues.

Anyone else with similar issues?

I have a few questions. I am currently on Verizon with my iPhone 6. I got an unlocked iPhone 8 plus from my wife (not on any network).
1) Can I get SIM card from Sprint and activate unlocked iPhone 8 plus with my Verizon iPhone 6's number?
2) What is the easiest way to get Sprint SIM card? I have Apple store right across the street. Will try to ask them for free SIM card.
Thanks

Thanks for sharing. Did the June 2017 promotion end at some point and is this a new promotion?

I was looking at this promotion earlier because a friend may be switching carriers.

I was able to activate my Nexus 5 ( also purchased from Google directly) but it involved getting the right sim card-SIMGLW206R, purchased from eBay, and also going through Chat to have the phone's ESN added to Sprint's database.

Not sure it is true that the tmobile unlocked Iphone 6 does NOT work on sprint. I have heard that it will work with the Sprint SIM.

Yes iphone 6 tmobile(A1549) works with Sprint but no band 41. The confusion came from when it was released sprint didn't allow it but now they do. Although the tmobile iphone 7,8 don't work on sprint because there is no cdma radio.

Anyone remember RingPlus... yeah ..

TMobile is trying to buy Sprint... Sprint was the backbone for RingPlus

Sprint also serves most of FreedomPop and a bunch of the other low cost MVNOs

Its going to suck when TMoble kills Freedompop or when Freedompop is forced to end their free accounts... It will happen.. they may still be low cost but they won't be free.
freedom pop sucks anyway.

false charges they wont' refund and 2 days email customer service.

it should die.

I myself would avoid a phone lacking band 41 at all costs. Band 41 is Sprint's high speed band. It also now carries the majority of data traffic on Sprint. Without it, speeds will be unacceptably poor in many areas. (Speeds will still be adequate in some areas even without it).
