I have one line with free uear which i added 2 weeks back. If I want to add new lines to take Sprint promotions from best buy will I be able to add new lines ? Some one said they will add new plan. Do they have to run credit check again? Also if I cancel that line after 15 days will that be an issue ?
Quote from lstevens :
Yes, ALL lines will revert to a paid plan unless you establish a new (paid) account for the promo phone with a new ss#. No matter where you buy it, it is the same.
This was not the case with my experience. I signed up for 2 FREE lines with Sprint. Then 2 weeks later I bought 2 iPhones from Best Buy on a Sprint monthly payment plan for the phones. They added 2 regular new lines in addition to my FREE lines (4 total). 2 FREE and 2 PAID $60/month lines on the same account. I paid off the 2 Best Buy phones by dialing the *3 from each phone. The phones were unlocked in 2 days time. I then ported the 2 PAID lines out to H2O for free. The 2 PAID lines disappeared from my Sprint account the next day. About a week later I did an ESN device swap on both FREE lines with the 2 Best Buy iPhones I had just ported out. My 2 FREE lines are still intact with no changes in the FREE plan.

**I also did not pay any activation or partial monthly fees for the new lines thanks to a quick chat with CS claiming their 15 day satisfaction guarantee.

Yes it worked for me. When you get the SIM they ask for the imei of your phone all over again. I think the sign up page is just to save people the hassle if the phone won't be compatible.
Awesome. Thanks for the info.
I'll be trying it with an X. Wish me luck!

I was able to replicate. Maybe Sprint is blocking certain Chinese/Foreign servers?
This would imply it's Sprint, but in the linked reports people say it works on other phones. I don't have another phone to test but are you on Moto E4 or other phone?

Cool. Which iPhone version did you buy? Thinking of iPhone X if they have a good deal at BB during BF. Anyone else who did this?

I am seeing BB has iphone 8+ sprint 64gb $24.99/mo. with 24-month installments. So we pay it off it would be 599.76. Other charges waived as per dmart9 if done within 15 days.
Not seeing Iphone X sprint yet on monthly payment plan

It appears that some folks have success in using phones not listed in the "eligible" phone models on this free unlimited plan... is there a collated list of all such phones that work? Also, would Samsung Galaxy S6 work with this plan?

Not automatically -- if they still have the offer after your year ends then you'll need to port out to another carrier and port back in

It'll be easier if you have a household member sign up for service when porting back -- someone mentioned that your info stays in Sprint's system for 45 days after you leave/cancel service so the system might automatically reject your new account request or you may have to go to a local store for ID verification before getting approved for another account

It is quite simple. ALL Sprint-branded free and clear postpaid models work and will activate if you call in as they are not in general listed explicitly. I have even activated a prior-generation Dura XT flip phone which has no sim even. A Samsung S6 is not going to work unless it is the Sprint model because the non-Sprint models lack bands 25,26 and 41 and could therefore never work on Sprint even if they were certified (which they are not).

https://www.phonearena.com/phones...-S6_id8997 for the bands of the various S6 models

The non-Sprint-branded phones that work should be already on the Sprint list (there could be some very newly-released exception not yet included).

It is only recently that universal "unlocked" models started coming out and being certified for Sprint. Older non-Sprint specific phones are not in this category, with the exception only of a few iPhone models which are enumerated on the list.
