It was briefly activated on Ting, then removed. LiterallyUnlimited did reset the flag but it is still failing the eligibility checker. Sprint's "Executive Escalations Department" has concluded that "The device is not compatible with the sprint network and cannot be activated". Upon re-re-re-re-iterating that the phone has been activated on the Sprint network multiple times and functioned properly for many months in the past I was given an address to the nearest corporate store.

This was all after contacting Marci who did get back to my initial message and assured me it would be taken care of.

I purchased an e4 and am just going to use that.

As far as EIN goes I haven't had luck using mine.
Did you try asking Literally Unlimited if he has any further ideas? Actually since it was on Ting you coulld ask Ting too.

Could the corporate store not help? I suppose you could trying things like putting on a paid plan and then cancelling and trying it again at that point afterward on the free plan although I cannot guarantee that would not louse things up.......

A lot of stores have done so for some people. Probably go to a Sprint owned store, ideally a repair center and tell them Sprint told you to go there (which they have for quite a few people).
The store I went to was a direct corporate Sprint store, but it wasn't a repair center.

I will go to a different direct corporate Sprint store that has a repair center. Thanks for the suggestion.

If they are still reluctant you can mention that Marci Carris is referring people to the store for cases like this and that you will be contacting her. But hopefully that will not be needed.

@desi_babu_2010 this aint 2005 anymore. That annoying animated avatar is ridiculously distracting when browsing threads and coming across your posts is like a needle in the eye when trying to read something next to your avatar. Get with the freaking times, and stop decorating your user account like some 12 year old back on MySpace 15 years ago. Sames goes to any other idiot that feels the need to bling up their accounts with annoying animations.

I might bring in another phone on the Unlimited - Bring Your Phone plan. When I do this, will the new phone have a different one year date? I signed up the initial phone right when this went live so believe that it ends in July 2018? The other phone is on MintSim until March. I would be willing to eat the last few months of MintSim to get the other phone on this Sprint deal.

My local Apple Store periodically has the iPhone X in stock, but in order to get it you need to reserve it online with your Sprint account information. Will it cause any problems with my free BYOD account if I reserve online using that account information and pay in full?
Quote from lstevens :
If you pay in full, and don't activate it, should not be a problem.
Quote from sme6772 :
I went on to try an order one and apple's site shows there would be a $35 activation fee with Sprint? Will apple let me reserve and pickup without activating?
PSA: This issue is now OBE. It looks like they changed it today to allow you to buy the phone without entering your carrier account information! You can choose to "activate with your carrier later."

I have a question. It was answered before but I would like to get confirmation from another person because I am getting a different answer from Spring Chat line. However since my experience with them during the porting process made me think they are not good at their jobs, I am looking for the answer here.

If I buy two used iPhone 7 plusses and replace them with two iPhone 6 plusses currently on my account, does that effect my free account? I am not upgrading but buying used phones on secondary market and replacing them with what I have currently have.

Thanks in advance.

FYI, the reason for buying 7 plusses is because they have the band 41 and 6 plus does not according to what I've read online.

I finally figured out how to quote a previous post.

In my situation, the system did not even generate any identity verification questions for me. Since it could not generate questions, the system automatically failed me from the credit check. I've been trying to get help from Sprint about the system not generating questions for me, and no one has helped. They just say try again in 60 days, which obviously will not fix the system not generating questions.

In my parents' situations, the system generated some questions with wrong answers so that the only correct answer was none of the above. But the system said none of the above was not correct, and that one of the wrong answers was the correct one.

I was thinking, even if went to a Sprint store and got a store manager to agree to create an account and PIN for me, would the store manager still need to put me through identity verification over the phone?
Same here, no questions. Went to a store and they called the credit department who just said cannot apply again until after 60 days.

LG G3 (LS990). I'm assuming it's just ineligible for this particular plan because it most definitely works on the network. Spoke to Executive Escalations Dept again. They tried to pass off some BS about when they "changed frequencies a few years back" it must have rendered my G3 incapable of functioning on Sprint. I am an Android developer and tech geek. I quickly informed her of all the G3's compatible "frequencies" and bands. 🙄 She quickly altered her answer.

There was a user dealhunter1001 that had similar problems(passes tello and ting but not sprint checker)with sprint lg G5 and sprint s7edge also. He had to call to activate and not sure how they fixed it. Also not sure if it was intial byod signup or if swapping in. Maybe he will chime in again.

Thanks for the info.

Yes. I have followed the instruction on page 1: 1) pay $3 to unlock my GV #, 2) setup pin for voice mail. When I called to add a new line last night, I was told that my phone and GV # were eligible for the service. My request was processed and a confirmation # was provided. I also received an email from Sprint with my confirmation # and phone #, but I found that there was an error with the phone #. When I called them this morning to correct this error, however, I was told that my correct GV # is not eligible. That's why I guess that their system may have changed.

When did you activated your plan?
Only other thought here is what is the area code of your GV number? I ask because my GF has a Montana area code number and Sprint doesn't have service in her 406 region. So I couldn't use it. So, I created a GV Number where we live in PA and of course Sprint does have service here so I was able to make this happen.
