If I buy a iPhone 7 at the apple store, do I select Verizon option or sim free to activate later?

What happens if I upgrade a less than 4 month old BYOD line directly through the Sprint website? It says I'm eligible and let me place the order.

It didn't say anything about a plan change in the phone selection or check out process.

UPDATE
I cancelled my upgrades. I want to keep my free lines.

If I have 5 free BYOD lines, and then I upgrade only 1 of the lines, do I lose all 5 free lines or lose just the 1 free line that updated?
Add a paid line to your plan first (cancel on of the free ones first if you are at your l# of lines limit).

Spending Limit Program Charge $7.99/month

A $7.99 monthly Spending Limit Program charge will be added to new accounts. However, we will waive that charge if you sign up for recurring AutoPay and eBill.

Thanks. I still don't really understand what this is. Account had been opened since end of June and has autopay and ebill. I didn't pay attention until I saw it today. Could have been there all this time I don't know. I asked CSR and he said their is no charge on my account.

My paid account has the add on charge as $0.00.

Its waived as long as you have auto pay+ebill so nothing to worry about -- if you stopped auto pay or ebill then they would charge you 7.99 each month

It should've been there since you signed up for service -- I signed up over the phone and the rep mentioned it when going over the promo terms

I have three lines on cricket that I am going to port over next week. One of the lines is a gsm only phone (oneplus one). I am going to buy one of the g5 plus that are on sale at frys. Do I need to actually activate the g5 on cricket or just port the line and give the unactivated g5 IMEI number when I set up the account? TIA

I've upgraded to Essential on one of 2 lines. I have one more day until my next billing cycle. Will know if i lose one line to free, or both. Worse case is i port the numbers out and then port back in using a relative's SSN. It's nice to have a large family. Smilie

A Verizon S8 has the wrong bands exposed by its ROM and could never work on Sprint (unless you flashed it) regardless of where you bought it, so it is blocked from activation on Sprint.

If you had bought the Universal/Unlocked model from Samsung instead of the Verizon version, it would have been eligible on both carriers. If it came with a Verizon SIM in it, it is not the Universal/Unlocked version.

Thanks, and that makes perfect sense. But this is a phone I purchased unlocked from Samsung and it came without a SIM card.

Try running imei through ting byod checker it can sometimes push it to sprint database if it is unlocked version. The phone model/firmware should be 'xaa' if unlocked version
Report back if works.
