Can we have another line with a different plan in the same boyd account? I want to signup for the essential phone.
Yes, each plan has different internal plan code for billing purposes, therefore you can mix and match plans on the same account.

I have a Paid Sprint Line that I plan on cancelling (it is in my Free Plan, but this 1 line is paid). I want to port it out to cancel it, but want to keep the number (to later port to a friends free
Sprint Account). I have a TMobile SIM. I know that you can activate a TMobile SIM as a Prepaid without funding and then Port it Out (I have done it). But, my question is: can I port a number INTO a new TMobile Prepaid account (from Sprint), and then immediately (within 24 hours) Port it out to my friends Free Year Sprint Account?

Everyone seems to ignore my posts and then they get lost in the back pages. Repped for replying.

I must have spent 6 hours on the phone yesterday. Kept getting disconnected. Finally got a really good agent in telesales, her name was something like Shirmane. Unfortunately I was not exactly sure and she completed 90% of my order and then disconnected again. She tried to call me back once but when I answered it did not go through. And she did not call again so no way to reach her. I called back and tried to get a supervisor in telesales but kept getting put on holds again, and of course disconnected, until finally they closed.

I called this afternoon and got a salesperson Jay. I explained I had an order already and he was able to bring it up and complete it! So finally I am activated on my LG G6 I got at BB for $120.

The trick was, that Shermane had the credit department un-associate my social (I think) with the account created when I got G6 at BB.

The other thing is the telesales agent try hard to push the $13/mo insurance/device protection While I think it is worthless, especially when I only spent $120 on a phone, I think it is best to take and cancel it afterwards. The reason I think this is that the Telesales agents probably make very little commission on this promo, so it gives them more incentive to complete the sale. Ironically my call with "Shermane" got disconnected shortly after I rejected the device protection.

I have one more issue to deal with Sprint on. My original account created by BB had $120 in fees for the first month - this was the $65, which I thought I switched off of, the activation , that spending limit bs, taxes,, etc. Reps advised me it would be credited back next cycle but I was forced to pay it anyway on my old account so that I can be cleared to open the BYOD acct. Now I just have to make sure I get the credit, and either have them send me a check or refund my CC.

folks..check your account.

after 2 months of ~$2.xx bills

today i see charge

Spending Limit Program Charge $7.99

i have auto pay
Quote from satyavidu :
I also have the same charge on my account. Called the customer service and was assured that it would betaken out and my account will be credited but that did not happen. Called again and now they say that they can not credit it back as the bill has been already generated and assured that it will be not there from next bill onwards but online dashboard of my account still shows that charge. Will update if I see any change, request you to do the same if you mange to convince them to take it out.
Contacted chat (prior to first bill generating)
Quote :
Agent : I see that you are already enrolled for the autopay and you will not be charged for any account spending limit due to which I am unable to apply the credit.
Agent : Also. if you see any charge of account spending limit in the bill you may chat back with us and we will take care of it.
Agent : A note has been added to your account to capture the details of our conversation for other individuals to reference when they access your account.
Agent : Is there anything else I can assist you with today?

I am currently on Tmobile post paid using a Moto G4 (originally bought from Amazon). Prior to Tmobile, I used the phone with Tello. The checking system keeps telling me the device is not eligible for the BYOD free plan (same with my daughter's Moto G4). Talk to the CS and asked for the manager called "Mark" (in the Wiki) but was told no such person. Then I spent a long time with Sprint tech support and he finally told me ONLY Moto G4 bought directly from Motorola (ie not Amazon) is eligible. Is this true?
Has anyone successfully signed up with a Moto G4 bought from Amazon?

Btw, the tech support person told me the last day of the BYOD promotion is the end of year.

Yes I did it. I ported out, waited overnight, then back to Sprint as additional line on a free byod account. No funding. Even the ICCID was prepopulated for my phone when adding the new line over the phone.

That's very important news tonight - thanks! - as it tells us the promotion has just been renewed for another month! They have been doing this one month at a time.
