It should not be a problem. Just say yes that's right and let it go. FreedomPop or GoogleVoice does not really have any numbers - they just rent them from others. They always show up to Sprint as BandWidth.com or Onvoy or ....

Onvoy is a carrier.

Probably you just got an inexperienced rep. Just try again (after triple checking that the number is correct).
Still no go.. each everytime.. Onvoy told Spring information they have on record does not match with information I gave to Sprint... that is BS.. I do not even have account with Onvoy...

So the question becomes how is that FreedomPop will get the port request, if the other company is sending the details for the port to the Onvoy (Sybase). The port has been in place since 11/28/2017. Any help insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had the same problem. I gave up after a week and ported in a Google Voice number instead. Cost me $3.

OK. Finally.. made some progress ... now the port status shows:

Your number transfer has been authorized by your old provider and waiting for port activation. If you have received your phone, please call 866-437-1818 to complete your port.

i called and was told to wait until Dec 5 to get activated.. so now is just waiting game.. Applause

So I activated free line yesterday, 11/30.
Today on sprint app, it shows I'm upgrade eligible, and showing me lease options including (essential phone for $5/month where SDers say that buy it at $157) .
If I upgrade I loose my free line? Do I have to wait 4 months? Why it shows I'm upgrade eligible now? How it will be in 4 months? Do I have to do it through the telesales number or online?

Thanks. Hopefully someone did it already.

I am currently on Tmobile post paid using a Moto G4 (originally bought from Amazon). Prior to Tmobile, I used the phone with Tello. The checking system keeps telling me the device is not eligible for the BYOD free plan (same with my daughter's Moto G4). Talk to the CS and asked for the manager called "Mark" (in the Wiki) but was told no such person. Then I spent a long time with Sprint tech support and he finally told me ONLY Moto G4 bought directly from Motorola (ie not Amazon) is eligible. Is this true?
Has anyone successfully signed up with a Moto G4 bought from Amazon?

Btw, the tech support person told me the last day of the BYOD promotion is the end of year.
Can someone help me out here? Anyone had success signing up using Moto G4 (from Amazon)?

Upgrades for the lines activated on the Free Unlimited plan will be allowed after 4 months of service. At that time, return to sprint.com and log in to your account to purchase/lease your new phone. When it arrives, visit www.sprint.com/activate to activate the new phone. Any upgrades prior to the 4 months or in a retail location will require a plan change to the Unlimited data, talk and text plan which starts at $60 per month after an AutoPay discount. Unfortunately, you'll lose the remaining free months in your year of free service if you upgrade early or purchase/lease your new phone in a retail location.
