I am porting from freedompop.

Do I tell them it is freedompop? or ATT?
FreedomPop.

Even FreedomPop numbers used on their AT&T sims are not actually AT&T numbers.

Actually the number will probably show as Broadband.com on their screen for the number. They are used to that and that's fine with them.

They are just verifying another way that the number you gave them is plausible and not on a totally unrelated carrier. For example, if their screen said the number was Verizon and you said ir was on TMobile, they would check further because there would obviously be an error somewhere.

I am currently with Sprint on Iphone SE. Is there a cheap plan I can switch to temporarily and change back to Sprint for the free plan? Thanks for the help.

Thanks. Do you happen to know how long it takes to port from freedompop?

I think you can try Tmobile pay as you go sim, it was mentioned the sim is free from Apple store.

It is highly variable because they are voip numbers and not officially required to meet cellular portability timelines.

Current Sprint customers are not eligible.
You would have to wait 45 days after obliterating all remants of your Sprint account.
Or have a spouse or relative set up a plan for you.
It goes by the person/SSN, not by the phone.

I was wondering that too. There should have been no need to transfer the call other than to bring in the Credit Dept..

For me, first one woman took my details and then asked my permission to run a credit check and I said yes and she transferred me to credit dept..that lady asked me 3 questions to verify and when all was fine she ran a credit check and said she'll transfer me back to complete the application process and to setup my account..when she tried to get me back, she got disconnected so she put me with another agent..he disconnected me after 2 questions..no one called me back inspite of me giving my call back number so I kept trying..I heard shouting and laughing in background..

did you guys not get transferred back after credit verification and hard pull? who setup the account for you? credit dept or the first person who took your details?

since I got disconnected I don't have an application number or account number now..

why can't they just create an account and use that application number..Confused

To port a number from ring.to your account number will be the 10 digit phone number and the pin is the last four digits of the number.

Ring.to is "Bandwidth.com" as far as Sprint is concerned.
Quote from comintel :
From Broadband.com.
I just ported a RingTo number in a while ago.
both are same then, right? I can say broadband.com or bandwidth.com for ringto number??

I did get transferred back back from Credit to Telesales but there was no problem in my case. I did gey the account until the end but I do not know at what point they created it internally.

Yes one is a subsidiary of the other.
It will not matter because Sprint does not actually use what you say on this for anything. They go by what their computer says. People give them a dozen different names because bandwidth.com is used by many VOIP providers.
They just ask in case a major discrepency is obvious.

About 3 days. Could be slower in holiday mail.
