Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Sprint won't whitelist the verizon prepaid E4(XT1767). You need the unlocked(non-carrier) E4-XT1768 or a Sprint E4(XT1766).
It seems I have E4(XT1767). So it won't work on Sprint and Gsm networks?

It's been a while i followed this thread. I activated one free line by porting google voice number into Sprint. I would like to add another free line by doing the same. Am i still eligible? Site says for new customers.

You can add a line at any time for free. The plan expiration will stay the same. Just call the number.

Big headache with customer care. Spent hours, possible the worst customer care ever created on the planet....I activate my free account, but they cant activate my verizon 5s. It shows as I owe money to sprint for that device. Never been on sprint in my life, and based on this experience I will never be... What a disaster people....Any idea?

I did not have a problem doing the port dance. Did not say anything about devices, numbers or sim cards just recently being on sprint (only reused 1 sim card with same device and number, but did reuse 4 numbers and devices with new sim cards ordered through telesales.). You would need to port out to deactivate the devices and sim cards to be able to reuse. As for porting back in, you could port out to t-mobile and reuse your numbers, or port out to H20 for a penny and then buy a new tmobile number on ebay to port in just to be safe if they look. Those would be better and cheaper than google voice and paying to unlock the number. Search ebay for prepaid numbers for porting, they are about 5 to 6 bucks. and porting is quicker and easier than google voice.
i am thinking of doing this via ebay

if u go ebay route.
u will get a phone number, account number, pin.

got it

but what about name on the acoount to be ported?
isnt that needed?

Don't know for sure, but since it's prepaid it may not matter what name you use as long as pin is correct. When I ported from Sprint to T-Mobile prepaid, all they wanted for my TMobile account was a first name and date of birth. When I ported back to Sprint, I just used the first name and pin.

1. so u havent bought from ebay?...also u say cheaper that GV..isnt GV only $3?..never mind,..u say easier /quicker..

2. In your example of what u have actually done ...u needed name both times. that is what is concerning to me as the ebay listigs i looked at mentioned just the
3 numbers (tele, account, pin) that they would give you

I've seen some success with people adding more lines to their plan after establishing the first one or two. I would like to add my father in law to our 2-line free plan. He's on a cheap tracphone plan with a crappy feature phone right now. I'd like to get him a moto G5 plus and add him to our lines that we established in October and port his number over.

Has anyone done something similar? Any tips or things to avoid? I'm weary of making changes to the plan because others have said theirs got messed up by reps and they lost their free lines.

2. I'm wondering if it matters what name you give Sprint to port from T-Mobile since it's prepaid and there is no billing or anything. If the pin is correct for the number porting it may not matter what name. Could always message the eBay seller about a name tied to the number

That's just normal. You can add lines one by one up to the maximum you were originally approved for (usually 5). That is not a change to the plan that has ever caused anyone a problem.
HOWEVER you must do it ONLY via the 8777 number, never at a retail location. And you must port in a number every time. And bring a phone of your own.

Hey desi (and others): Happy Holidays! Smilie

What is the cheapest SIM for phone #, acct.pin complete on ebay that you found? Also, I assume these come with no $ in them. If you go this route, would you also be able to port in/out without adding funds? If any of you have an ebay listing that you found (or think might be) good for this, link also would be appreciated. Thanks! :-)

thanks.

so mine is a little complicated

im trying to do a couple of things.

1. create a new sprint account in spouse name. i have a eligible phone to use, but need a number to port in. i have a GV number, but would prefer to keep the GV number as a GV number. was looking into how to get another GV number to port, but was distracted by daughter on another project (slime making)

2. once i do the above, i need to port out my 4 month old BYOD line. i need to keep that number..so i think i will use tmobile prepaid for that. im not sure the details on that yet, but im sure nice folks here will help out...then port back into spouse account.

3. need to do all this in next 7 days..or so...
