Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Pardon me for being skeptical. I have been eyeing this promo for quite some time. For the life of me I can't find the "catch." I'm currently on MetroPCS, they have 4 lines for $100 unlimited and they don't want to upgrade me. I was thinking of threatening to switch to this and see if that gets me somewhere. I'm a bit hesitant since I'm not sure how Sprint signal is in VA beach.
I just switched from MetroPCS and I was surprised at how smoothly it went overall. My (free) LG K20+ phone didn't work on Sprint, so I needed to spend $100 on an Amazon Prime edition Unlocked Moto E4, as this seemed like one of the cheapest eligible phones.
I had been with Sprint for 12+ years and they treated me poorly on my way out. So now I'm going to leave them right before the year is up. The plan is to then switch back to MetroPCS or whoever is giving away the best free phone. I would say to review their coverage maps 1st. Then go thru the process, and switch 1 number to Sprint. If it works well, go all-in. If not, ask Metro to take you back. Right now, you're paying $1,200/year. If you bought 4 Amazon Moto E4 phones, you'd end up paying $400. It's a sweet deal.

I ordered 2 SIM cards on the Sprint promotional website for this deal. They arrived. I've tried to activate them online and at a store (spent almost an hour there). I was told I needed an account, and they couldn't find mine even with my full SSN, order #, IMEI of the two phones I entered during the SIM-ordering process, etc. I then did an online chat. Each of the three Sprint agents I chatted with told me the next agent would create an account and then activate the SIM for me. None did. All just couldn't transfer me away fast enough. I've used mobile phones in the US for more than 15 years. Never did I have such frustrating experience. I just want a full refund and be done with Sprint for good.
Sorry to hear about the bad experience; I recently switched, and was very surprised at how well everything went.

Thanks, guys. I thought about your comments as I was out walking today...and when I looked up I was right in front of a Sprint store. Sure enough, I had full bars on Band 41, and my download speed was about 40Mbps.

Not surprisingly, they had one of those boxes in store. I walked in and asks about it - was told you need to call CS and they'll determine whether they think you need one. (I get 1-2 bars of Band 26 inside my house.) I guess I can try, though personally I don't really need one now. I do have family in another part of the country I'm considering getting another phone for, have them use the hotspot for full internet for a year on this promo, and if they have poor signal I'd sure want to get one for them...
They have stopped taking applications for the Magic Box for home users. You or family would have to wait for a while. You can check eligibility by entering the home address below:

if you want to see how you can extend your free byod plan you can go back a few pages and look for..... desi_babu_2010's outline of everything he did to extend his plan.

desi is a master technician who plans everything meticulously. he ported out of Sprint, to H20 Wireless and ported back to Sprint all during his family vacation to Vegas, and did all these while in the midst of a suspenseful poker game and at the same time baby sitting his lovely infant, feeding the baby while at the poker table and winning $20,000. :-)
Desi made a lot of love too to ring in the New Year. Didn't you see the pictures and videos on his secret facebook site? Big Grin

Damn, now I know why he did not come to my Winter WH New Year Party. You did not come either Frown Desi was excused because he had love to make in Vegas. Masayoshi Son was here with his newfound robots love/adventure. Masayoshi said, "Screw Sprint, Marcelo better get my $$$ back or I will send my bots to get him." Big Grin

Wow, my account I canceled is so screwed up, the one I bought the G6 on . I canceled it within 14 days but kept the paid off LG G6. Tried to get refund for 14 day satisfaction guarantee even though technically you are supposed to return phone.

I had paid $120 so that I could clear my ss# to open the free account thinking I would get it back after the billing cycle closed. It only credited me $70 so I complained. They refunded the $120 on my credit card , sent me a check for $70 (which theoretically should be included in the $120) but then they charged my canceled account $190, leaving me with the $120 as a balance.

If I get them to zero out account and cash the check I would be ahead $70 though ethically wrong so I probably won't do it. But I need to straighten this out. My closed account is one big accounting nightmare

Got brand new Google voice number. Paid $3 for port out.
Set Google Voice PIN.
Had to wait a day for number to appear on port eligibility page.
Called number as web page says not eligible phone - Philippines call center.
Gave Google number. Said acct # is 1+# and gave Google PIN above.
Have Verizon iPhone 6 (not Plus). Got free SIM at Apple store.
Got ID verification in store routine.
Google stuck for 2 days port out. Resolved itself.
"No Service" for 3 days. Had to visit store to correct IMEI in system.
Now up and working.
