Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

You can add lines but it'll keep the original exp date as the 1st line

I signed up for 2 free lines back in Sept and my exp date was 9/30/18 -- today I added another free line and it also has 9/30/18 exp date
did you call telesales to add the lines? they don't give you problems with adding?

is he LG X charge a good phone with xfinity deal going on right now for $180?
it is an ok phone, ok camera, nice size (5.5 in), rapid charging, crazy humongous 4,500 mAh battery whichs lasts me more than a day, though i read some people here saying it has not been holding it's charge like when it was new. i like the LG double tap to wake the phone. would be sweet once you get the $150 gc after 4 to 5 months

8777 number in wiki is the only dept that can handle free lines -- "I have a Sprint account with free 1yr service and I want to add another line to it"

Call took about half hour -- 10 mins to add the line, 15 mins waiting for Metro port to finish, 5 mins to config phone & having phone rep call me to confirm its working properly

The rep was friendly and wanted to make sure everything was working properly so the call lasted that long -- I could've waited for the port to finish and config the phone on my own but I just rolled with it

Can phones locked to Sprint be used on the byod plan? Have had that plan since August and need to replace my current phone. Current phone is unlocked and I own it outright.
Yes -- just make sure you have a compatible SIM for the new phone

You can try using the "activate a device" option from your online account to swap the phone but that's never worked for me -- you can do a chat and tell them you want to do a "device swap"

Started service with an unlocked Moto G4 in Sept -- swapped it last month for a locked Sprint Galaxy S8 (month left for them to unlock)

Added another line yesterday using the G4 -- did a chat today to swap it with a locked Essential phone (need to use 50 days for unlock)

I was on the phone for almost 3 hours, mostly on hold. trying to add a new line to my SOs account.

Bottom line, something is wrong with my SO's account therefore they cannot add it to my SOs account and the only solution they can find is to transfer ownership to my account. I've talked to 2 different reps and they both said they're getting an error when trying to process.

Sprint Telesales will delete my SOs account once transferred then add the new line to my SOs account.

Anyone see any issue with that?

My account has different end dates that the lines I'm transferring over. Once transferred, will they have different end dates of the 1yr free plan?

I would not let them do it unless they guarantee that you will be given whichever is the LATER of the two end dates for all lines. Find out what this date is and state it explicitly, not just "the later date".

Otherwise you are just going to get the date that applies to the surviving account. That might be better for you or not. You can look at the dates and see.

There is no reason they cannot escalate the problem and get it fixed.

How many lines currently and max number of lines approved on SOs account? Cancel any lines recently?

Might want to get a clarification on exactly what will happen -- if they move lines to your account then the lines will most likely have your exp date. If they close SOs account and open a new account then most likely its another credit check if they can get another account approved (account is considered closed when the last line leaves the account)

I'm planning to do the promo via the website for one phone and have the sim shipped to my address. Once I do this and decide to add a second line via the 877 #, can I choose to ship the second sim to a different address?

Port all the numbers out and add them all back into a BYOB plan under a new SSN for that 1/31/2018 extension Wink

Total cost: $0.01 H2O sims on Amazon [amazon.com], 1 credit check

Yes you have to call in to add additional lines. They do not care where you get/got the sim from.
Cheapest is Twigby for $2.99 including shipping.
I think it would be better to order them elsewhere than Sprint telesales if you are going to ship them to a different address to avoid arousing suspicion (though they *may* not care) and because they may not have a procedure for that so they might mess it up anyway.

Please provide detailed history of both accounts and numbers of lines in each account. Are both accounts BYOD free accounts?

Tried to apply online. Credit check needed more info. Told me to call 8777 # to continue. Will there be a problem getting the promo from them over the phone if I don't have the sim card yet or is it identical to online just as long as I don't sign up in store?
