Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

It could be the Sprint proxy or the load balancer of the tower that you are connected to. Load macrokelvinforpresident.gov and let me know what you see.

One of their CS reps (Henry Posner) is on here. Contact him and see if he can do anything for you.

I'll try, but at this point I feel I've spent enough time on this. This salesman contacted their "pricing" people , who refused to budge. Pretty soon, it won't matter because unless the new one is shipped out fairly soon, it will arrive here too late for the 31st anyway since I'm clear across country

Thanks

I suppose the magic box will help my battery even if it doesn't help my speeds.

I ported 3 devices about 2 weeks ago. Everything went well till I checked my account and saw $13 protection plan on every device.Called, cancelled was told charges and plans will be removed.3 days later: plans are removed by my bill (due in 21 days) still shows full amount (protection plans charges included).
I'll call tonight again and am looking for any suggestions how to handle this situation.

Can someone verify that the LG X Charge DOES work with this promo. Both IMEI numbers I have were rejected as not compatible?

They almost never remove a charge - they just issue an off-setting credit to correct it.
Look and see if you got such a credit.
If not, I would suggest using billing chat rather than calling.
Eventually there are management contacts but should not be needed as this is routine.

It is listed as supported.
If the phones were used on a Sprint MVNO, you will have to get LiterallyUnlimited to push them back for postpaid.
Other than that, the problem might be with the phone numbers, or the IMEI's might still be listed as active on Sprint if used before, or they might be prepaid only versions or subject to an unsatisfied obligation.

Band 41 doesn't appear to be in my area. Right now, I have ATT. I don't think ATT has a LTE 'plus' network or do they? In other words, would I see any LTE/data differences between my current carrier and Sprint (without band 41)?

Thanks for any input.

You'll still get LTE on band 25 and 26, just slower, if the coverage map looks ok.
I would check the coverage maps of both carriers for your location.
By the way, Sprint will be adding band 41 to every tower this year. Currently it is on only 70% of towers.

If it's the Verizon version, it doesn't have the correct bands. If it's the Boost Mobile version, it's locked to prepaid.

If I port my sprint line to other carrier now, how long do I have to stay with other carier before I can port back and qualify for this promo?

Wow, these bastards told me I had to get the sim from them instead of getting it at a store, so I do, paid the $10. Got it today, called them to activate, they said the sim is NOT compatible with their plan and to go to a Sprint store to exchange the sim... Lol Figured I'd try the sprint.com/activate and after creating and signing into my acct, I get a oops error... lol Unbelievable...

I have a question about porting one free-BYOD number (out 3 lines, while leaving other two intact) out of sprint.

1. Would porting-out one number affect the other two free-BYOD sprint lines? I plan to keep them at least until the end of promo (July/2018). My concern is the account/pin numbers to give for port-out (which are linked to other two numbers)

2. Can the iphone (used on the to-be-ported-out line) be swapped into another free-BYOD sprint account (under different SSN and until Jan/2019)? If so, does this device-swap need to be done after or prior to port-out?

Well, this was a bust for me. The online credit check failed, so I got a SIM from Best Buy and called the activation number. Unfortunately, Sprint's Credit Department could not verify my identity at all, so it looks like I'm SOL. Frown

Porting out one line doesn't do anything to the other lines -- you need to give phone number + account number + PIN to port out and each line has a unique phone number to separate them

If a phone is currently being used on an active Sprint line then you can't use it on another active Sprint line -- same phone can't be used on 2 active lines at the same time
