The rep has informed me about device protection along with payment protection while explaining the terms and conditions.

Yes, I used my other no. to call in and yes, porting completed in less than 10 minutes along with activation in sprint system by the rep.
Thanks. I presume you told him you didn't want the device protection, so how did you know he added it anyway?

Rep told it will be added automatically and they do not have an option to take it out. He repeated about it while explaining terms and conditions too so after the call I re-confirmed with billing chat and asked to remove it.

Thanks again, He must have lied to you, since some others were able to dissuade their salesperson from adding it.

My rep said it was $0.44 a month. Told her no and she added anyway. Chat removed it after but hope I'm not charged for having it for a few mins.

I read somewhere it's more like $10 a month. I went on the Sprint site and I looked for the chat. I clicked on contact us. ThenIt said it was off to the right but I couldn't find it. How did you 0 in on billing chat as opposed to regular customer service? I bet you're not charged at all by the way

just called in and added 3 lines to my original byod line. it seems as if the csr gets a commission if you add device protection on at least one line, and you can cancel it aqnytime, so i allowed her to put it on one line (she said it was required but i think she was fibbing) anyway i'm about to go online and cancel the handset protection. BTW of of my essientials i got from the essientials deal wouldn't activate, so i have to chat with them about that or something.. or maybe i'll try to do a device swap first and see if it works.

Okay so let's take a survey. Who thinks this is going to get extended past the 31st and who thinks it won't?

i believe so.. they didn't verify ti was working..

howeever you will want to check deductibles before doing this..

because you may find it's better to buy a used one or go to a shop to have them fix the device for less money

So my wife is a current Sprint customer, but I am looking to switch over from Verizon, and we're looking to add another line for our 12 year old son. We will be switching our son over first (hopefully from GV), and then I will switch my line.

Whose SSN will need to be used for the new lines?

Can my wife's SSN be used to open an additional line under this promo?
Do we have to use our son's SSN for his line?
Can my SSN be used for the new lines?

Thanks for your help in advance!

You can use any SSN except your wife's.

For example, you can use your name and SSN and put up to 5 lines on that plan. They will all officially be under your name (but you can use them as you wish within your family without involving Sprint in those details).

No you do not have to use your son's SSN for his line.
