Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Has anyone gone through the phone upgrade procedures after the 120 days on this plan? Can we get in on a deal like the target $300 gift card for upgrading to a s8 and not lose our plan? Any decent deals through print themselves? I see the lease prices but do not see how much I would have to pay at the end of the lease.
Never upgrade phone on free plan at any Sprint store or 3rd party retailer -- you can only upgrade using Sprint website or calling 8777 number

If there's a promo somewhere else then depending on the promo terms you can probably add a new paid line ($45 plan) to your existing account -- payoff the phone and port out the new line within few days to cancel it then swap the phone on your existing free line

I grabbed the Sprint S8 during Thanksgiving from Best Buy when they were giving $350 off -- added new $45 line, paid off phone balance, cancelled new line by porting out then swapped the S8 on my existing free line

Thank you for the reply and advice. Adding the paid line to the account did not result in an additional hard credit pull did it? I am finally back under the 5/24 for chase cards.

No hard pull -- 5/24 is for number of new CCs in past 24 months so hard pull wouldn't matter

My account was approved for up to 5 lines when I first got my free service -- I had 2 free lines at the time so added a 3rd paid line to get the deal

nope, I was just pointing out the the difference between $12/mo (this deal) and $12/yr with Tello paygo for light users. I'm probably the exception, I stick around wifi all day.
Confused by "$12/mo (this deal)". My Sprint bills with this deal have been coming out to $4.07 each month, inclusive of all taxes and fees.

didn't see taxes and fees that low, WA would easily double that tax, maybe triple. My tello top off will last years if I'm careful, this deal will be history by then.

Here are the reports from 98xxx zips (WA) in the wiki survey of total cost:

98003 $3.81 / 4-5 Mbps - Yes - 1 line
98052 $3.75 / 10 Mbps - Yes - 1 line
98337 $3.73 / 44Mbps - Yes - 1 line

But I have both Tello and this deal (on different phones).
One reason is Tello to Canada is one cent a minute whereas the free Sprint plan to Canada is 40 to 50 cents a minute (unless you purchase an add-on). (I can also use Hangouts which is free - no cents per minute).

Can I call from Canada for free? And does International roaming like free 2G apply to this? Also, what's the fastest way I can cancel the phone insurance that they added on to my account? Thanks.

You can and should cancel the insurance immediately and request a credit for any already paid by using BILLING CHAT (not the 8777 sales number).

You get 2G roaming. Calls made in Canada are 20 cents a minute unless you pay for an add on. See FAQ's for details at https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/of...:1yearfree

(Paid plans, but not this plan, get LTE roaming and other benefits).

Are international services included?
Yes, our 1 Year Free Unlimited plan includes Sprint Global Roaming, which includes data up to 2G speeds and text messaging in any of our 165+ Global Roaming countries at no charge, plus calling for just $0.20 a minute.

It does not include calling from the U.S. to international locations, but you can easily add international calling to your plan.

So I got contacted by a couple of different members of the executive team over the weekend and got everything squared away. SIM cards are in transit at the moment. Hopefully all goes well with activation soon!

Edit: Considering the problems I've had so far, would it be better for me to attempt activation online, or via the 8777 number?

I was planning to sign up tonight with a clean IMEI. If I placed the new number/SIM card into a device already registered on Sprint, would it still work with the new SIM?

Why not just use Google Voice to call Canada for free? I realize it may not be from your Sprint phone, but it's still free if you do it regularly.

Also, I have gone onto sprint.com several times to look for the Chat. I click on Contact US. On the next page I find this, but there is never any chat icon on the right side:

Chat
Look for the "Chat" icon on the right side of your browser. We are online 24/7. If you don't see it, we're just busy helping other customers. Check back again later.

Am I missing something or is it a very elusive chat that you have to check back on repeatedly in order to use? If that's the case would I be better off phoning regular billing to remove Protection?

You have to set up your logon first and log on.

But sure you can call if you want.

Instructions will come with the sim card if you ordered the sim card from Sprint and you might as well follow them and try to do it online as it they describe.

If you ordered the sim card elsewhere, then you will have to call.

I am not sure I follow where you say "clean IMEI" and then "device already registered".
Everything is registered directly by IMEI on your Sprint account. ICCID is all but irrelevant except you have to have one of the exact correct part number for that device.

If a device already has a Sprint sim, it does not need a new one at all. Sims never expire on Sprint and can always be reused. The situation is different from GSM in a number of ways.

If you are talking about moving the service from one device to another just by moving the sim, you cannot do that. But you can swap devices instead on the Dashboard.
