Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Anybody having trouble getting data on iphone SE? Sprint phone support tried everything and then asked me to go to corporate store. Checking with slickdeals community before making a 40 mile drive.
No data at all, or very weak? If it's weak, ask them for an Airave. They're sending me a free one. But I am able to receive data -- just with a slow down speed at my house (2-4 down, under .5 up).

No data or 3G only(CDMA). Iphone SE(A1662) except the sprint version(A1723) is missing band 41 but should have band 25,26 for LTE.
If no data then it is sprint backend(data provision) issue. If 3G only you can try following.

1-Reset Subscriber Settings (Carrier Reset)
Go to dial pad as though you're about to dial a phone number
Enter # # 25327 #
Tap Call
A "Reset Subscriber Settings" message will appear - tap OK
Wait 5-10 seconds; the signal notification will display "Searching" on the top left of the screen
When the phone shows a signal again, the phone is ready to use

2-Service Update (Profile & PRL Update)
Connect to a Wi-Fi network
Tap the phone app
Dial # # 873283 #
Tap Call
"Starting Service Update" message will appear - tap OK
If update is successful "Service Update Complete" message will appear after about a minute - tap OK

3-Check for an old LTE APN profile and delete it.
The problem was due to a Profile named "LTE APN". (Settings>General>Profiles - Right below "VPN". There may not be "Profile" on the Menu, depending on the carrier used before.). Deleted this Profile, then LTE Data signal showed up! This Profile was probably from the previous carrier.

That's my main concern also -- that my backup phone won't work with sprint in case I need it.

Does anyone know what the cheapest (even a dumb phone) phone that works with the BYOD program as a backup?
If you are at home most likely you'll have Wi-Fi. Download hangouts or hangouts dialer. You can make domestic phone calls either cell or landline for free. 😃

The A1687 6s plus should definitely work on sprint. It has same bands as sim free A1634 6s plus except band 30 which att uses.
Try running with 'find my iPhone off" on ting checker to possibly push imei into database.
I got the same message after turning find my iPhone off. Should I call sprint to check it out?. Actually I want to add a line to my existing account.

Thanks, but that's not what I meant. For one thing, I have an ObiHai if I need to make calls at home. I want something as a backup with my phone number that I can take with me. I've always had backup phones, but they accepted the carrier I was on. This is the first time I don't have that.

Just setup Tmobile Prepaid to port to Sprint. The telephone rep had me set a six-digit pin instead of a four digit pin mentioned as the norm for T-Mobile Prepaid in discussion here and other forums.
I just successfully ported from Tmobile Prepaid and can answer my own question. If you are asked to setup a 6-digit instead of 4-digit pin, there is no cause for worry. It will work just fine!

Just wanted to follow-up publicly on my issue: If you recall, I could not complete identity verification with the Credit Department for some unknown reason. According to the Sprint rep, no identity verification questions were provided to task me, so the process could not continue.
Their credit information is just plain wrong sometimes. They told me I owed them $60, and I said "no I don't". Then they agreed.. Almost comical.

I have a wiki update for the G5 plus but am unable to edit the wiki.

I just bought the Newegg Moto G5 Plus 64GB ($225) and successfully activated this with a SIM not listed in the wiki as working for G5 Plus.

I signed up online which auto-ordered a SIM, I chatted online afterward with Sprint and explained that my G5 plus had to have a special SIM so which one were they sending me? She said there was no way to know which one was mailed to me so they sent me to a Sprint store to acquire the one I needed. At the store the Sprint rep looked up my phone and handed me a SIMGLW446C, and explained they did not have a SIMOLW506C I requested in store. (The in store rep was willing to setup my service for $60/mo. when I asked to confirm the free 1 year free he said he would let me call Sprint and activate myself because he heard sometimes when it's activated by a store you don't get the free deal! haha).

I went to Best Buy and purchased the Boost/Sprint SIM pack for $9.99 to ensure I'd have the SIMOLW506C. Back home for the sake of science I attempted the initial activation with the SIM that the Sprint store handed to me, SIMGLW446C, and it worked!

I then chatted with a Sprint rep at this point asking how to get a refund or stop the $14.99 order from being mailed, I signed up on Friday night, it was Sunday, it couldn't be cancelled but they would add a $15 credit to my account to refund the SIM I paid for that was on the way.) Days later the SIM that was ordered when I signed up online for '1 year free' arrived from Sprint and it was actually the SIMOLW506C anyway!

According to the Wiki both the SIMOLW506C and the SIMGLW446C should work on the G5 Plus:

MOTOROLA G5 PLUS ISSUES:
The only Sprint SIM that will work with the Motorola G5 Plus is:
Part #: SIMOLW506C
that's printed on the plastic SIM card holder, with the Sprint SKU #: 760492034500 that's printed on the outside of the SIM envelope under the scan bars.
THIS SIM WILL ALSO WORK IN THE NEXUS 5, BUT if you have an older Sprint Nexus 5 with an older Sprint SIM it should work with that SIM.

Most Sprint company stores do not seem to have this card in stock, but some individually owned Sprint dealer stores do but they charge about $25 for it.
The best way is to order it directly from Sprint and pay the $10 shipping fee.

Some Sprint stores think that the Part # SIMOLW416Q will work with this G5 Plus phone but it does NOT. The Sprint SKU # for that is 760492035279.
This SIM will work with the Motorola E4 as stated here in the Wiki.
Some Sprint stores have this SIM in stock and you can get it there for $2.99 or possibly for free if you tell them that the online rep who is handling your activation and porting sent you there to get it for free.
If you know the SIM Sprint Part # and the SIM Sprint SKU # that has worked for your particular phone that you used for this FREE one year BYOD Sprint offer please list it here. It will help others.
According to other posters here SIM Sprint Part # SIMGLW446C from Best Buy should work on the G5 Plus.

You should definitely call the Sprint BYOD #, 1-866-782-8777, to add a line and see why the phone can not be used and if this issue can be fixed.

According to the other posters who responded to you here as well as info on the A1687 online it should be compatible with Sprint. Just google A1687:

Edog. There is no data. Not 3G or even 1x

I think it's unlocked because it's working fine with MintSim.
