Thanks! How about adding in a new line to existing account? My co-worker has this promo since last June. Will adding in a new line to his account get the same offer of free till Apr 2019?
No adding a line gets the same end date as the first line got.

To port a number, you need proof of ownership. Usually phone number, acct. number (if different from phone number), and pin are sufficient for a prepaid number. They can ask for more info like name and address if this info is on file. The number from eBay sounds fishy and possibly illegal. I would not use it
That is good advice not to use eBay one. Since you can find several options for $10 or less. Not worth risk to save a few dollars.

Any update/answer on this? I'm looking to come back to this deal. I had gone to Verizon to take advantage of Black Friday 2017 deal.

Does anyone know how long should I stay out of Sprint before coming back to this promotion?
Verified it ends 4/30/2019 despite what the reps tell you (they'll say one year from when you sign up). Search earlier threads for information on how long you should stay away.

Oh..ok. ..last time many months ago GV had taken 4-5 days for me so I was bit reluctant this time...
If calling porting Dept can make it fast then I will go with GV..

Thanks
There is no need to wait, but it requires calling porting dept, then it happens instantly.

I have an unlocked iPhone SE and I am getting...

"Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device. Sign in to find this device on your account."

The phone was never on Sprint but I did try checking the phone before on the "Free Unlimited" Sprint site and it worked but didn't complete the purchase.

I called Sprint and their support was useless in trying to resolve the issue. Looks like I'm out of luck.

Edit: The number I called was 866-275-1411.

Yes that is a well-known message and it means not what it literally says, but rather that the device was at one time on a Sprint mvno and needs to be pushed back to Sprint postpaid.
It may clear just after trying it in the Ting checker at https://ting.com/byod .
Otherwise, LiterallyUnlimited will flip the mvno/ownership flag from PLBL to SPCS for you to fix it if you contact him on Reddit.
Search on LiterallyUnlimited in this thread for details.

Thank you for your help. It shows good for GSM + CDMA on Ting's site but still no luck on Sprint.com afterwards. So I guess contacting LU on Reddit is my last resort.

He will be able to fix it then.
There are some other paths through Sprint but they often end up being harder to get to work.

Can anyone share their experience adding a Verizon Galaxy S8/+?

My Verizon S8+ (unlocked of course) was confirmed eligible by both the Sprint web site and their phone reps. But when I finally got to port my number today, the port completed according to Sprint and my original carrier (TPO mobile), but my phone just will not work - no data (shows 1x) and can't make any calls... It's been about 6 hours since the port completed. I am going to wait overnight and call Sprint in the morning again if still no go.

Try Reset Network Settings
Also #BRAND# in the Dialer (may not work) to reset the branding to Sprint. It is important to let this complete, including reboots, if it continues doing something actively. It installs programs needed for Sprint features. If this already completed when you first put in the Sprint sim and it boots with the Sprint logo, you do not need to do it again.

Thanks, but...

- Reset Network Settings and rebooting afterwards didn't help. I can confirm that it definitely wiped out all my settings, including wifi and BT...
- Dialing #BRAND# (27263) gets me "The number or code you dial is incorrect", just like any other real phone number that I have tried...

Any other ideas?

Sorry about the wifi.
Was your phone up to date on OTA updates? #BRAND# should be recognized. It is on my S8+

Do you get the Sprint Logo on startup? If not what do you get?

If you can, check that the ICCID and IMEI match with what Sprint has but probably you are leaving that to tomorrow.

Do you have the correct sprint sim for s8+?

Have you tried to update profile and prl files?

Yes, mine is updated. It shows Verizon logo on startup and complains about the sim not being Verizon, but I am used to that with previous carriers (T-mobile MVNO)...

My thought exactly on the ICCID and IMEI numbers. Will check with them tomorrow on those. I don't think there is a way to see those from My Sprint Portal, is there?
