Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

But I'm wondering about cancelling, not porting out (maybe the same?), I also don't have a T-Mobile prepaid SIM (do you need one?).
It is hard to cancel as such. You have to have an exit conversation where they try to convince you to stay and may not take effect until end of billing period.

You could, but for most it is easier to port out to anywhere. That takes effect immediately, no delay. Maybe replace another number on another account somewhere.

Another way is to swap on a dummy phone which will kill off the current one. Then cancel the dummy one.

Since you do not need to keep your number, you could do without a sim and get a $5 "number for port" on Ebay to port in.

"Number for port" is for porting out to Sprint though, I have a number like that. I still need something into which to port from Sprint. That's the missing T-Mobile SIM which I don't have. Does the Apple store give SIM's to non Apple phone users?

You have to port in a number. This gives you one.

There is a bump for me when ported back to add a line. Here is the thing:
Account A, signed up with my SSN last year, has line-1 and line-2, will be expired in 3 months.
Account B, signed up with another SSN recently, has line-3 and line-4.

I ported out line-1 to the pink carrier's prepaid account and ported back to Sprint to add it to account B, but the Sprint rep asked for the SSN that associated with line-1. I guess because line 1 is the main line for account A and account A is still in Sprint system, which raise the red flag. Any suggestion for my situation?

So I cant buy a phone that's compatible to port in and keep swapping with phones that they wont allow to port in despite it working on the network? (2 LG G3s are still on my Sprint account, but they wont let me port the 1 LG G3 that I already ported out...)

Quote from comintel :
You cannot swap to an incompatible phone. There was a myth at one point that you could but it was never true.

"Not found in the system" means the IMEI is not listed in the Sprint database of compatible devices. In other words, it is incompatible and ineligible.

Very occasionally you can swap to a phone that should be eligible but is not being accepted for one reason or another, but that is extremely rare and not the case here.

But you can just port in the phone you really want anyway as an additional free line can't you? Just call 866-782-8777 to do so. You need to port in a number from somewhere/anywhere except Sprint mvno's.

There is no way period to add incompatible phones to the network at any time though, including via swap.

Yes you can but as I said you need to figure out WHY they are rejecting them to know for sure by running the tests I described.

Until you do that we do not know exactly.

Is the test using the imei and phone number to check? If so, it says:

Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer (for the LG G3, meaning that I could swap after porting in an eligible device?)

Definitely works on the network since I just ported it out. I'm worried that they will lock the new phone that I will have to buy- due to porting in multiple times and swapping (if the above statement does mean it can be swapped).

Port out Line-1 and Line-2 both to other carrier. Then Account A should be deactivated and you can port back in after that.

They should not ask for your other SSN.
The line you port out does not matter (line 1 or 2)

What I did:
Original SSN
Line1. Line 2, Line 3
Ported line 1 to att prepaid
Called sprint and setup account with SSN 2. Ported line 1 in. They asked for account number and pin of att prepaid. That is all they need.

How does he know anything about account A? It should be a different person.
I don't know if the rep know there is account A or not. It is just my guess.
The port out and port back was done within 3 hours. Since the account A is still open in Sprint system, line-1 is listed on the autopay bill. Their system might link all together.
The rep did ask me if the line-1 is connected with with line-3 and line-4, wanted to know if the 3 lines were from the same account before the porting to Sprint. It is weird that Sprint rep also need the account holder's name for line-1 from the other carrier. When porting line-4 to account B, none of these were asked by the rep.

The line-1 is not ported to Sprint yet,

Should I
1. Call Sprint to provide the SSN they need? (What SSN should I give? definitely not mine that associated with account A)
2. Give up porting that line back (but I have to keep that number.)
3. Port the line-2 out of Sprint and payoff the bill to close the account A, then do the porting line-1 and line-2 back afterwards?

Anyone has the similar experience?

No it is not the same and does not give the same errors.

Try
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...hop:030918
(which gives clearer errors is NOT the same)
and

https://tello.com/bring_your_own_device

and we will understand more from the results.

Yeah, I thought of that but I am hesitated. I am not sure if account B has been tagged.

I agree they should not ask for SSN but they did. EEK!
Originally the rep said the SSN for line-1 of other carrier account, I said that line has no SSN set up, finally I was told the SSN is required by the Sprint system to make the port in work.

May I ask where your Line 2 and Line 3 are now? Do you keep those 2 lines in the account you set up with SSN1?
If yes, then I totally don't get why I was been treated differently.
