Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I'm currently in step 3 (phone imei and number show eligible under byod check) but reading the posts I noticed some say to open new sprint byod account with new ssn via phone, not via web. Why? Does it not work via web?
The online system makes you order SIMs, and you still end up needing to call in when the SIMs arrive anyway. It's definitely still good to verify device eligibility online first though.

As implied by kmartind, but just to be explicit on his point, you do not need new sims, so you are wasting your money and adding delay.

You should use the existing sims you already have.

called this morning, but didn't get approved after running credit check...and told me to wait for a letter of explanation in my mailbox...
I guess they couldn't match the ssn to my credit report, only got an ssn 4 months ago, but have a 2.5-year credit history.
wasted a hard pull...

Sure you could.

But it may still go through fine with your SSN if you call and that way you have it out of the way. They will likely ask identity questions and ask some people to go to a store but others sail right through without that after they call.
Maybe it's just not meant to be, haha. Hubby's never been with Sprint and his SSN didn't work either, and then I used another family's member's SSN and that one also didn't go through the hard credit pull either just to order the SIM. Neither's been with Sprint and both have great credit, not sure what's going on. I called the 1-844 number again and basically was told that they will send me a letter I'll get in a week or so that I have to wait 60 days before I can try this again by which time the promo will be over. Guess I'll just stick to Tello...

Ahhhh... finally I could order flawlessly.
My MOT X PURE had problem to verify IMEI, but someone at reddit solve the problem.
Again, Sprint could not verify my credit history, but today, everything pass without problem.
I am waiting for SIM card to activate. GOOD,

i dont think u are quite understanding the promotion

to be clear:

if u have a plan that is currently ending in July 2018...then any line u add...say TODAY..will ALSO expire in July 2018 (ie the original end date)....NOT in June 2019...(ie 1 year from today)

the only way to get a 1 year from TODAY, is a to create a NEW account with a NEW ss number (say your wife ss number (assuming she is new customer))

then u get a 1 year expiration from TODAY
any line u add after that to this new account will also have the same expiration date

also,,what happens after 5/17/2018 the alleged end date is unclear

assuming the promotion is officially expired...
there are 2 camps that have different views on weather or not u will be able to add a line after 5/17/18...(if officially expired then)

some feel yes u can
others feel no u cannot

only time will tell...

again..all assuming the promotion has expired 5/17/18
Damn Desi... Your explanations make everything so clear especially for the newbies.... Better than any of Trump's attorneys...definitely better than Giuliani... :-)

Can you manually make a payment on your bill before your auto-pay date arrives (while leaving auto-pay intact)?

Asking because setting up auto-pay was a condition of the deal.

Are you doing this online? What error message are you getting? It's most likely nothing to do with the credit/SSN# but more likely a device issue. Almost anyone can get this offer so long as they can pass identity questions from Sprint Credit Dept. You don't even have to have good credit. You should call the Sprint Promo # instead of online. If you did call the Promo #, you most likely failed the identity questions that were asked. If it was online, you should post your error message that you received to clear that up.

Actually, I don't know. I tried this promotion since last year. I tried several time with my SSN and my family member's SSN, but all SSN I tried was credit check failed. I just tried again using my SSN today. It worked. I didn't call 800 number or visit Sprint store. Very strange, but it worked.
