Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

The following text is directly copied from the email I got from Sprint, which suggests that you can add a line until 5/31/2019. So, I am with the group who say YES YOU CAN.

Add a Line: Add a line at any time with port-in from postpaid carrier and Bring Your Own Eligible Phone up to the max. number of lines & get promotional pricing until 5/31/19.

I don't think you can get this offer without an SSN. You need to join someone's plan who already has an account. Obviously, in that case, you don't need an ssn.

Realistically they will never give credit approval to a non-US resident unless there are a whole bunch of special circumstances, about which you post not the slightest detail, and even then it would be difficult, involving making a request for a special case exception. It is impossible to even begin to plan that without seeing an outline of your circumstances in the U.S.

Maybe you would be eligible for the $1 Virgin 6 month deal, I do not know.

Has anyone tried signing up for free aaa?
It says it will cancel any other sprint works
on your sprint account. Is this free year of service considered
a sprint works bonus?

It is specifically excluded by name in the terms and conditions of this plan and will be denied. So will Hulu 1 year.

A friend got denied, he was in the witness protection program. The reps said they did not recognize his face. 😀

Actually, I don't know. I tried this promotion since last year. I tried several time with my SSN and my family member's SSN, but all SSN I tried was credit check failed. I just tried again using my SSN today. It worked. I didn't call 800 number or visit Sprint store. Very strange, but it worked.
I had a theory that the online application is super strict about exactly matching name, address and phone. Admittedly this is based only on a couple of anecdotal instances of using a long-established home phone number and address passing the online check just fine even with almost no credit history, versus using a Google voice phone number on the application and getting directed to call in, despite (literally) perfect credit pushing close to the max possible FICO score.

Yes, I'd probably estimate 90% confidence that you'll still be able to port in lines to an already established BYOD 1 year free unlimited plan after 5/17, and 95%+ confidence that they'll honor the full 1 year for everyone who is already active on the free plan, regardless of merger talks and preparation, etc. The plan terms state you can add a line any time (up to the limit) and indicate a specific "savings until" date.
The one small caveat is, *IF* they decide to change the terms after the fact then all bets are off. Most people think they won't do that because they'd basically be dumping customers straight to other carriers. Not many would stick around with a carrier that won't even honor their agreements. Also note (as mentioned in your linked post) that they could possibly decide to more strictly enforce porting in from only postpaid carriers, and doing that wouldn't be changing the terms.
Quote from zeugma :
Terms have already changed many times, for example the changing end date. Sprint has changed terms even when an end date is stated like ending the Essential Phone deal earlier due to SD abuse. The situation is actually fairly foreseeable: though the current terms state you can port in additional lines "any time", after 5/17, the whole landing page goes away and you have nothing to point to.
About: " the whole landing page goes away and you have nothing to point to.", most everyone here thinking of doing this has made a copy of that page, OR stored it on his hard drive, OR has kept the Sprint email after an account is registered confirming this offer fact OR has done all three.

You're absolutely right!
Computer systems like 0 and 1. IF one of those is in the wrong sequence you're screwed!
Humans, on the other hand, can use foresight, can bend the rules and more often get things through.
Repeatedly in this thread things work better with the toll free # humans dedicated to this free offer, located in the Philippines than with the online system.
So, CALL, get some human contact with someone who probably really needs the commission or incentive he/she is getting by enrolling you in this free plan.
Consider this a humanitarian effort!!!

I guess they couldn't match the ssn to my credit report, only got an ssn 4 months ago, but have a 2.5-year credit history.
wasted a hard pull...
Quote from rejoyce :
This exact thing. Perhaps they did a hard pull on my SSN too, ugh.

Call again and ask to speak to a supervisor in the credit dept to try this once more.
Insist, as you have nothing to lose.
Tell them that you're willing to go to a Sprint Corporate store to verify your identity, BUT NEVER-EVER open an account there. Just to do the ID check ONLY at the store.
Waiting for an explanation letter is a DEAD end!

A hard pull is ALWAYS done here.

I currently have an account that's expiring end of july with 5 lines. If I want to open a new account under new SSN are the following steps to make it happen? (do not have apple store in area and worry that shipping time with ebay sim card will take too long).

1) go to tmobile store get starter kit $25
2) activate it on a pay as you go plan with local refill card fill ups and port one sprint number
3) open new sprint byod with phone number above and new ssn
4) bring over the remaining 4 lines? via sprint chat? (or do i need to repeat step 1 and 2 above on each of the remaining 4 lines?)

Can someone please fill in the gaps and/or let me know what I'm missing?

For people in a similar situation:
You can get an AT&T prepaid sim card for 99 cents and it takes about 3 business days to get it, so if you order one or more today you'll probably have it/them by Saturday or Monday.
You may have to fund the AT&T Prepaid account with $10 but try it first without. It may work as it does with T-Mobile prepaid without funding. Worst case you may have to pay $10. Get the 25 cents/min plan.
Then you can port out of Sprint to AT&T, and then open another Sprint BYOD Free 1 Year account with a DIFFERENT SS # and then port back to the new free Sprint account from AT&T.
Again, you may need or may not need to fund the AT&T prepaid account to do the in/out portings. Just make sure you have the AT&T prepaid account # and its PIN that you'll create. The account # will probably be the phone # with or without an 1 in front. ASK the AT&T customer service rep for the account # and PIN. Without those you can not port to Sprint.

If I'm currently on the plan and feel that the promo will expire on 5/17/18 then should I port my # to non Sprint provider for few days then port again to Sprint with new SIM before 5/17/18?

Yes, but you don't have to wait a few days to port back to Sprint. It can be done within an hour after your port is out of Sprint to the new provider, and after you port back to a NEW Sprint account with a DIFFERENT SS #, it is done in a few minutes.
To do it quickly use a T-Mobile or AT&T prepaid sim. Read my posts above.
Try to do this asap and CALL the toll free # of this free BYOD offer.
Do NOT try to do it online.
