Does anyone know if the unlocked sprint iPhone 7 plus is eligible for this deal? I tried on their website and it shows an error to me...
What error does it give specifically? "Money owed to Sprint"?

If it was on a Sprint MVNO at any time, you will have to get LiterallyUnlinited to push it back to Sprint postpaid via flipping ownership from PLBL to SPCS. Search THIS THREAD for LiterallyUnlimited posts.

It is not on the list but you will be able to get it on one way or another with work and possibly multiple steps but you need to post full details of history of phone, what does it say at
https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...phone.html
when you test there?

What does it say on the Ting or Tello checkers?

To be sure, call and ask: 866-782-8777 for this offer generally, but actually maybe call the Credit Dept directly instead 800-639-6116 since it is a specialized credit question.

Need some input/help on my situation: I bought an unlocked Iphone 6s from a reseller on Swappa. The phone is indeed unlocked, as I tried AT&T and Xfinity Mobile SIM cards. No issue or whatsoever. However, when I tried to activate this phone with BYOD, I was told this phone cannot be activated because it is still under an active lease. How could it be possible an Iphone be unlocked without fulling the lease? The seller is a reseller and has no clue.

What exactly does https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...phone.html say? (This is a different cheecker).

That does the Tello or Ting checker say?

The answers will probably tell the story (when re-interpreted).

Most likely it has been on an MVNO and there is a fix for that but let's make sure first.

Buy iPhone on sprint lease, insert Verizon sim card on initial start up. Now iPhone is unlocked but still on lease. Not saying this is what happened though.

https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...phone.html : "This phone has already been activated for Sprint service."

Tinghttps://ting.com/byod/MEID_active: "Looks like your phone is currently active. We can move your number ("port") to Ting and activate your phone in our simple activation process. Ready to go?"

Sprint Buyback https://secure.sprintbuyback.com/bbt/. "Devices that are currently on an active Sprint Lease Agreement or Installment Billing are not eligible for Buyback credit."

Tello: "Your phone is currently active with another provider.
You need to port in the number associated with this device in order to use it on Tello"

It is most likely the case, as this phone was shipped with a Verizon Sim card. This phone is A1633, not a typical Sprint model A1688 model. Is A1633 lock flex(sorry, forget the exact term) model? Will this phone be blacklisted if the user stopped lease payment?

OK so it is on a Sprint lease.
You may be able to further document this for your seller refund by getting the GSX report on EBay for $1. I am not 100% sure it would show there though.

Can I use a different phone for sim activation instead of the one used for eligibility verification?
