Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

So i called them and ordered the sim through phone last friday. They dont ship weekends so i wont get the service activated until tomorrow. However, my TMobile service is being cancelled today. Will i lose eligibility?

Well... if you've already ordered, that means you're already in. What does your port status say?
i have an order number for the sim card delivery, but i dont have a port number yet. the rep said over the phone that i will need an account number and a pin when i activate it tomorrow, but it's deactivated.

That's weird that they sold you a SIM without taking your porting info. Your only options now are to buy a T-Mo number for porting off ebay (possibly from some seller named portmaster?) or use a GV number. Edit: are you sure they weren't talking about a Sprint account number and pin?

I'm pretty sure the rep said i need my TMobile account number and pin. Is that not standard? Is that not needed when activating?

Nope. Very non-standard. Standard is to get your porting info as you're signing up over the phone. I'm almost certain they mean your new Sprint account number and pin. I think you'll be fine.

Thanks. I'm hoping it works out.do they ever ask for an account number/pin from the carrier/GV number I'm porting from?

Yes. Like I said. It's SOP. It's kind of the whole point of this offer -- to switch from something other than Sprint. If they didn't ask for that info during your initial call, something is definitely wrong.

I tried to port-out from Freedompop. But, all port-out info are blanked. How did you get you proper port-out info?
Log in to your account, then go to https://www.freedompop.com/acct_settings.htm Your Account/PIN should be there.

Yes. The old www.freedompop.com does not work any more. Except there is a Pencil icon, everything is blank. I am using my phone number as account number and give a shot.
I had the worse time porting out of FreedomPop a few months ago. Took about 3 weeks, they told me since it was considered a landline for the reason it took so long. I have heard others that it went right thru, but not me. I still have info inactive in my old FP account as have not closed it, sound like yours may be closed.

Yes if tmobile(postpaid) is cancelled before you port number, that number will no longer be able to be ported to Sprint. Sprint doesn't initiate port until you get sim and activate.
If you have T-Mobile prepaid and plan is ending, it will convert to an inactive pay as go plan which you could still port out. I think it stays inactive for at least 30 days.

My first month bill just got generated for 2 lines...

I see $5 admin fee, and govt taxes/fees etc brings the total to ~9.5....

I don't see a auto pay discount of $5? Is this what i should expect to pay every month?

Edit: Nevermind, i do see the auto pay discount....looks like the charge is about $9 due to the $2.5/line admin fee.....

oh well......still <$10 a month...i'll take that....

This this may have already been asked, can a phone, moto g4 play that is currently on free plan, be switched out of the plan and used for a new service? If so would a new sim be required?
Thanks

If you suspect a question has already been answered, you could always use this thread's search tool. If you need to keep the line open, swap in another phone or dummy. Your moto g4 play will be immediately freed to do with as you please including starting a fresh free year of unlimited. No new sim required. You WILL however need a new social at this point. If you don't need to keep the line open, you could also port out.

Only in a minority of cases. It depends on why it is ineligible. Old models are not necessarily "ineligible", I have activated old flip phones and other Sprint phones not on the list directly without swapping.

What is the model and what does it say exactly at https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...phone.html (this is not the same test)
and was it ever on a Sprint mvno?

With the answers to those questions, we will be able to answer your question.

I have Sprint Iphone 7 plus that was retired a few weeks ago. The phone is inactive but still locked to Sprint network.

When I tried to validate for the promotion. It said "ineligible" (the list said Only Verizon iphone 7 illegible). My understanding is that only Sprint phone is ineligible for BYOD 1 year promotion.

So can I do the promotion with an old Verizon iphone and Swap it after activation with my iphone 7 plus?
