Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Ported #s don't just evaporate. The # is probably in Sprint's system somewhere.
Especially porting from T-Mo to Sprint takes only a few minutes, at most 10-15 mins or so.

The # is either with T-Mo or Sprint.
Looks like it is still on T-Mobile according to carrierlookup dot com.
Wonder if I can put the T-Mobile sim back in and see if it still works on that number?
Or would it mess things up?
I'm not sure how the same IMEI could be on both wireless services....

OK, so this might still expire tomorrow?

The landing page says 5/31/19 again and was changed back from the earlier change today of 7/31/19. And the device success page still say 5/17/19.

I get:
The number 469625**** is a Mobile Phone by T-Mobile

And this number was initially created by Sprint on a new Sprint plan with new Sprint phone over 2 months ago to take advantage of the iPhone 7 deal for $299.
And it has been paid off and unlocked for use on any carrier for about 2 weeks now, and I confirmed this by putting my Verizon sim in the phone and making a call.

So the port to T-Mobile definitely went thru. Just the port back failed.
Any idea how long T-Mobile will keep it before releasing it back to the pool?

That # is yours and it can not be taken away from you.
It sounds as if that # is still with T-Mo.
Call T-Mo to verify status.
Maybe add funds to T-Mo if the # is still there, if T-Mo is giving you a hard time, and if you still want the # ported.
If the # is still with T-Mo ask Sprint to redo the port.

There may be a problem with the T-Mo account # which is the prepaid phone # with an 1 in front, and/or the PIN that you should have created.
Call T-Mo customer service at 611 or another phone to verify these #s.

Customer Care & Technical Support available 24/7
Call from a T-Mobile phone: 611
Call from another phone: 1-877-746-0909

I started a new pay as you go service this morning with TMobile. How long before I can port to Sprint?

Just confirming you can do it right away; ordered Tmbo pay as you go sim, inserted to set up. DID NOT add any talk credit (just the sim). Once I had the phone # (which is also your account #) was good to go. did this all yesterday. within hours of activating the TMO pay as you go phone...

Someone at Sprint is screwing around with the BYOD offer page today.
The UNTIL date went from 5/31/19 to 7/31/19 this morning and back to 5/31/19 now.

So, the offer deadline is probably tomorrow, 5/17/18, or not set?
To be on the safe side consider this to be tomorrow.

Your T-Mo prepaid account # is NOT your prepaid phone #.
It is your prepaid # with an 1 in front of it. 1-555-555-1234
You also need a PIN # that you should have created.

IF you have both of those you can do the port to Sprint now.

Haa. Nerdly I know. Needed phones for people on the BYOD... cheap

I was wondering if you have a phone case to recommend for this one? I see only the weak cases on ebay and don't see any hard cases and the weak ones will not survive my husband, thanks!

@HunterOne Thanks for the response. I never got past checking the IMIE numbers so I never entered any of my sons info. I have called every sprint support number imaginable without success. One of the three phones is still illegible--none of it makes sense.

I would drive to the Sprint store right now for the ID check (it is 12 miles so they wouldn't override the requirement during the original call.), but why waste a trip if the phones are suddenly ineligible? And they did NOT give me any kind of number to give the Sprint store to go along with the ID check...I am not so much worried about the credit check anymore but what on earth is going on with the phones. Oh and there is only one day left so it doesn't look like this is going to happen.

As a last ditch effort, what happens if I just set up the account with the one phone that still comes up as eligible? Can I add the other two later? Probably not with the promotion expiring tomorrow....
Quote from HunterOne :
Read the last few pages here. (The BYOD free offer has been extended.) DISREGARD this, NOW it looks as if tomorrow 5/17/18 is still the offer deadline.

Call the credit dept and get an application # for your store visit.
Get the account # at the store. Do NOT allow the store reps to put any plans in your account.
Call the BYOD toll free # and continue the account activation process.
Give them the ELIGIBLE device first.
The give them the other 2 devices. Often they can make these devices go thru even though they show ineligible.
You can always add other lines later.

They will charge you for overage. You can a full Sprint account - any additional charges can be billed.
They will not charge if you go over. This wording is from the confirmation email I received after signing up:

Work and play on the go with 10GB per month Mobile Hotspot on each line
MHS, P2P and VPN reduced to 2G speeds after 10GB/mo.

Anyone know how to purchase the moto E cheaply at Best Buy--possibly the one with plan and not activate the plan? Anyone have any success with that? Maybe a prepaid plan but save the card for another phone/another time?
