Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

So the offer is extended again. (Actually they tested out this update a couple of days ago so we could see it was likely coming).

Well, they wanted to lock in all the horde to a 5/31/19 expiration first, kind of makes sense. To extend you'll have to take a risk and/or pay a hard pull.

Exactly right.

5/17 was indeed the end of the offer, but it was superceded immediately on that date by another offer, now with an end of savings date of 7/31/2018. That new offer is now in effect.

It's not clear what will happen once T-Mobile has a look at this. I actually see a strategy for Sprint much like SERO where they keep this going forever, but keep the list of eligible phones not updated so that eventually it becomes a legacy/slow lane kind of service that you end up overpaying for. I mean, this kind of plan may become valueless in a 5G world just like SERO's 2G unlimited data became valueless in a 3G world.

Thanks for confirming the 7/31 date has already taken effect. She had no role in that - it just updated on the web site to 7/31 and is the new end date for everyone. It would have been best to confirm with XM what their port-out requitements are but it sounds as if it has gone through.

Call 866-437-1818 and enter your number for port status.

Then reactivate your phone is Settings or just wait.

Exactly. They held off until just under 45 days so that you could not confidently quit and sign up as a new customer 45 days later.

Now I see where the significance of 5/17 came from- it is just under 45 days before 7/31. So it was set internally as the date to decide/announce one way or the other. The message of what 5/17 represented just got a little mis-judged.

This 45 day consideration also explains the two-month cycle.

We can expect the same game around 7/17.
It is actually about 75 days until 7/31 don't forget June.

Oh you're right!

Well that means another good-odds chance for people to get off for 45 days and later get back on with the same SSN (though using another SSN would be safer).

Do you know if I buy a Samsung s8 or s9 from someone locally which is sprint originally...then if I activate on mine byod line for 50 days then will sprint unlock it or not after 50days?

Yes they will.

They unlocked ny S8+ after 50 days. I got it from Samsung but there is no difference as this phone is not like the Essential financing offer which was unique.

Ideally check with Sprint ahead of time with the IMEI just to rest assured. Call any suport number and ask them to kick it over to Cutomer Account Services which is the dept. in charge of unlocks.

I hope as someone said in past they will not ask me to prove its ownership...because I will not have any receipt....and will not meet the person again as found on craigslist

That was a unique situation with the Essential deal which required people to own it for 18 months.

Ideally check with Sprint ahead of time with the IMEI just to rest assured. Call any support number and ask them to kick it over to Customer Account Services which is the dept. in charge of unlocks. This is officially advised by Sprint when buying a used Sprint phone.

They should as long as paid off, not under a service contract(not as common today) or reported lost, stolen.
This is SD why mess with craigslist for a high end phone unless selling. If sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
