Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

back to 7/31/19 on main BYOD page. Wonder what the hiccup was with 05/17 and that caused the earlier than normal extension
The offer phase ended as planned on 5/17 which was probably planned for a long time, and was successed by another renewed offer. It may be because that was the one year anniversary and was planned as the end date one year ago when the plan was announced.

in my case, I paid off the Essential phones immediately and after the usual 50 day wait, requested unlock and it was done.

So far, after paying off the phones and after 50+ days of use, have been able to get 5 Essential (bought direct from sprint) and iPhones (bought from Sams and Bestbuy) unlocked.

In fact, I have two Sprint lines which I use to get Sprint phones unlocked.
Glad to hear you have it totally under control.

I updated the steps to include the T mobile account details if it helps others. To your question, yes each phone line has its own pin for Tmobile pay as you go/prepaid.

1)First, have your Sprint account number and PIN ready.
2) Order the Tmobile prepaid/pay as you go SIM card from Amazon. Its around $8.95..Chose one day shipping and pay extra $5 to get it the next day.
3) You don't have to recharge/reload the SIM. Once receive the SIM, call Tmobile customer care and ask them to port your sprint number to Tmobile. Just give them your Sprint Acc. no, PIN , Phone number and T mobile SIM card number
4) Your number will be ported to T mobile in less than 5 minutes. Your Tmobile Account number will be your phone number prefixed by 1 Ex: 1 214-xxx-xxxx and the pin number will be the one that you setup initially during the porting or activation process.Note that for each line in Tmobile prepaid, it will be a separate account number i.e. the phone number of each line prefixed by 1 for that line. Again PIN number would be what you have set during number porting/activation for each line.
5) Wait for about an hour and Chat with Sprint Customer care and verify if your account is cancelled. Someone mentioned you can also check the status on sprint byod page with IMEI number.
6) Now call back sprint telesales number and port your Tmobile number to Sprint with a different SSN ( a family members)
7) After about 45 mins or so with all credit check etc done, you are good to go for another one year.
Can we reuse the old Sprint sim cards doing this method? We've got a family plan where some of the phones will not be physically present during the porting action. Hopefully reusing the old sim cards will result in very little disruption to the phones not physically present (i.e. only about an hour of downtime and a reboot required or similar).

Is it more risky to do the port out (to TMO) and port back in (to Sprint BYOD) during weekends (Sat-Sun)? Would it be more likely to have issues, get stuck or delayed during weekends? Could someone share their experience please? Thx so much.

I did port out and back in, one on last sat and one on last sun with no issues everything went smooth.

Best Buy has the Moto-E5 plus now (Sprint) but it's expensive and probably won't work for this. It will be interesting to see if they make any updates to the allowed phones

Most Target stores have the Moto G5 Plus on clearance. It's unlocked and works on both Sprint and GSM networks. You can check stock near you on brickseek, https://brickseek.com/target-inve...80-02-1665

Purchase the Boost Moto G6 Play and ask Sprint to add the IMEI to their database. I did this yesterday and I'm using the phone today on the Sprint BYOD. The phone is $80 at Walmart.

I doubt this will be approved for anyone ekse other than you. Boost phones are not eligible. Your rep. just made a mistake in allowing it on.
Of course anyone is welcome to try and post their result but I just want people to be aware it will not be approved in my opinion.

Always use the existing sims for exactly the reasons you specified. Sprint never intended that sims be changed. Sprint sims never expire. The latter is a GSM practice. That said, if the stupid rep asks, say it is new one to save yourself a sales pitch to buy a new one..

Probably fine for TMO and Sprint but yes in general yes it is risky for lesser carriers who sometimes close down porting or stall it on weekends. I have had ports stall over the complete weekend more than once, but wiith other carriers.

I want to deactivate a line from this plan and put it on my wife's free plan (different SSN) by way of swapping in to one of her free lines. I'm wondering if it becomes eligible almost immediately (like the way porting out works) or if it takes days? Any insight is appreciated.

There's no way to do it EXCEPT by porting. Every new line of service requires a port-in from a non-Sprint carrier. Period.

Yes I am sure. Unless it never ported out in the first place but I assume it worked on RW so that is not the case.
Well, I just got off with a porting Department with Sprint, and they said the phone number is still ineligible and they want to escalate it to a higher level? They said they would call me back within 48 hours. Not sure if this is a good thing or not? Any thoughts?
