Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I finally did some troubleshooting with sprint over the slow data - they were able to send out some carrier provisioning resets, I reset the profile and the prl update. Things seemed better in that I could consistently browse the web, but the speeds don't seem as good. I'll have to see as I move around how the data service is. The main problem seems to be upload connections, but at this point, the speed test is showing around 7 mbps down and 1.2 up.

I did run the signalcheck lite but I don't know how to interpret.

Galaxy s5:
LTE
RSRP: -104dbm (19 asu)
RSRQ: -12dB, SNR: 8.4 dB, CQI: 1
Provider: Sprint (310120)
GCI: 07E12006, PCI: 243, TAC: 16135

Moto G6 play:
1xRTT
RSSI: -85dBm, Ec/lo: -7.0 dB
SID: 4384, NID: 120, BID: 18929 (x49F1)
Provider: Sprint

LTE
RSRP: -107 dBm (16 asu)
RSRQ: -8 dB, SNR: 13.0 dB
Provider: Sprint (310120)
I forgot the free version of SignalCheck does not show the band.

But anyway the measures shown between the two phones look fairly similar. I cannot see much difference just from the figures shown..

Anyway the acid test is that the Samsung is better overall.

Quote from Virgin is boybrady :
I have two questions. I currently have a Virgin mobile 1 year free (iPhone SE). As a Sprint MNVO this is ineligible so I want to port out to T-Mobile/Verizon and then port back to Sprint to get another year.

1. Will this result in the 45 day SSN hold (that can be bypassed by using someone else's details - like my wife)? I think no since it isn't technically Sprint.

2. Is there any way to get that iPhone SE from Virgin to pass IMEID? If it is unlocked? If I sim swap it onto a different BYOD line? I think on this one the answer is no and I just have to get a new phone.
The account would not be a problem since it is not Sprint postpaid as you say.

Virgin is not a Sprint mvno. It is a Sprint prepaid brand. It makes a difference. It is literally part of Sprint at the corporate level. But in general you cannot use Sprint prepaid phones on Sprint postpaid UNTIL/UNLESS they are released after a full period of paid service, by Virgin in this case.

But will Virgin release the phone for use on Sprint postpaid? Call Virgin (which is part of Sprint) and ask them. As you say, the answer may be no, or only after x period of time. Or maybe someone knows.....

My port out of TMobile finally completed after an hour's delay for unknown reasons. Then my iphone 5s could not receive their test phone calls. Finally got to a level of tech support that told me to do ##25327# which reset the subscriber settings. After about 10 minutes, I got a dialog box that says "Activated". At that point, everything worked fine.

Hope this helps someone avoid my multi hour ordeal Smilie

where did you get the 45 days SSN hold information? I initially signed up for sprint $60 unlimited plan to purchase lg g6 in nov, 2017 then ported out and ported back in 3-4 days to free line. I did not face any issues or restrictions. it should be the same for free line port out and port in right?

Check your end of savings date on the DashBoard.
Click Manage Plan / See Details.

I think that you may find that it is no different from what it was before you ported out and back in in close succession on the same SSN.

Agreed.

At this point he can do Billing Chat to get it fixed.

I would not call Sales at this point.

In general, if you resume service within 45 days of cancellation, you can have your previous Sprint account restored. Otherwise, you will get a new account.

So I have 5 lines expiring in July, and I plan to do the eBay T-Mo prepaid virtual SIM + online port out, followed by the call to the Sprint number in the Wiki using a new SSN. I have two questions:

1. Has anyone had any pushback from Sprint adding the "old" Sprint SIM cards (from the "old" closed account) when calling to sign up for a new year?

2. I have the flex lease Essential phone and plan to pay it off before porting. I am assuming I have to use the Moto X Pure (and SIM that went with it) that I originally used on this line since the Essential is considered a Sprint phone? Or when calling in they don't care?

I am trying to make this as smooth as possible for the person using their SSN for this next round of service.

Only from a tiny minority of ignorant sales reps who tried to sell new sims needlessly and had to be straightened out.

Sprint activates and tracks by IMEI only (never by sim). Sims should stay with the phone they are with regardless of anything else and never affect eligibility for anything.

Sprint sims are not associated with an account, never expire, and can always be reused indefinitely on any account and with any phone for which they are the correct part number sim.

In the compatibility list, it says Galaxy S8 Verizon version. Why wouldn't the US unlocked version work too?
