Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

In general, if you resume service within 45 days of cancellation, you can have your previous Sprint account restored. Otherwise, you will get a new account.
I did not wait for 45 days in december when i ported out my line from $60 plan. I ported back in after 3 days to new free line account. If we do the port out and port in i think it will always be new account. We dont have to wait for 45 days.

People have posted that they were refused even at 44 days and told they had to wait another day.

But that was from free plan to free plan under same SSN.

I and others have also been told by Account Services that you have to wait 45 days.

I do think they may waive it under some circumstances but I do not think it is automatic. Account Services was certainly in no mood to do it for me. They were quite categorical about it.

One of the problems is that the old SSN and account is in the system for 45 days before it fully deletes. I have seen it said that the Accounting Department has to remove the SSN manually from the old account if it is earlier than 45 days to allow creation of a new account in the system with the same SSN. Maybe somebody did that for you. They do not appear to be willing to do it for most people. I think they will do it for a good reason, such as a mistake having been made, or maybe for a highly-valued customer.

You don't need a sim to see if it's unlocked. Go to settings/ system/ system update/ uicc unlock and that will tell you if it's been unlocked or not.

Thanks It's locked. How long have you been with Sprint? Do you think that's why they unlocked your phone for you?? Geez I need a book to keep all this good info everyone is sharing Smilie.

I have an Essential Phone with $90+$30 left on the flex lease on one of my 5 lines. I ultimately want to keep the phone once it is paid off.

I plan to switch to my Moto X Pure via chat for that line before porting line out to T-Mo, and back to BYOD under new SSN.

Does anyone have experience porting out all lines (closing account) while a flex lease is still in effect? What will happen? Will I have an issue porting in the line that had the flex lease because it is not yet paid off?

I will likely pay off the flex lease before porting out but I haven't heard anyone mention this scenario, maybe because everyone was paying it off right away to unlock it early on?

I'm coming to the end of my one year and I'm going to port out to TMobile prepaid. I'm considering using a digital sim card from eBay. Will I need to fund the TMobile port in if I'm planning on porting the number back to Sprint?

Both ATT and Tmobile have required me to do a minimum fund on my account. Tmobile required 1 day, $3 and tax, AT&T let me do $6 and tax the first time, and when I created my second line I tried to see if I could use my credit and the agent required me to fill the account with $10 since he knew I was planning on just using ATT to port. Not sure if they could do that but I was in a hurry to do the sprint ports so I didn't spend time arguing over $4.

Both ATT and Tmobile have $3 a day accounts. I think I saw someone state they ported 3 lines over to tmobile on 1 sim doing 1 at a time, Sprint -> Tmobile -> Sprint 3x. but I never tried myself.

Please let me know what you find out. My friend did some flex lease promotions and got some discounts. If possible they would like to pay off early, at the discounted rates, then port out and back in.

I've been with Sprint since last year but the account I'm on now is only in it's second month. I'm thinking I just got lucky.

Just called 1800 777 4681

The rep stated that the first month will be $65.35 and the following months will have credits to make the plan free. Not sure if he is correct or not and was on the phone for a good 1hr on hold while he talked to his supervisor.

Used the following link to signup and order sim card
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/of...:1yearfree

Does anyone have the proper description of the plan ?
That still is not right. The only charges should be $5 per line. Then that balances out to $0 with autobill credited leaving the only charges of Sprint Surcharges and Govt Taxes & Fees. The Sprint Surcharge (Administration fee is $2.50) and the taxes and govt. fees depends on where you live. My total monthly charges is $4.85 (1 line) which is probably higher than most since I live in NYC. Your first bill should be no different from succeeding months. There is no such thing as a first month charge on this plan with succeeding credits to make the plan free. The first month should be exactly like the following months.

I signed up for this deal last June for 5 lines. We used old Sprint iPhone 5s. We used hubby's SSN last year.

A few questions:

#1 - The list says Verizon only for the iPhone 5s, this didn't cause a problem last year, but has anyone successfully used a Sprint iPhone 5s this year?

#2 - Also, I am planning on using my SSN this time, but I had a Sprint account about 3 years ago. Will my ssn be ok, since it was an old account?

#3 - Last year, I signed up for the free plan online, though the link, and it was easy Peasy. Is there a reason why so many are calling in this time, instead of using the online sign up link?

And thank you so much!!! To everyone who has invested so much time in this thread, answering questions, etc.... This has helped my family out so very much!

I have iphone 7 plus which is from AT&T. It is not in the list of approved phones. This phone has SIM card tray. Is there any way you can activate this phone with T-mobile or other carriers temporarily and then port it over to Sprint for one year free promotion?

Another question, If I have Sprint SIM card can I use the same? Like I go to some other carrier say T-Mobile and then back to Sprint using the same Sprint SIM card I had previously.

I don't know the answer to your phone question, but I have read about the SiM. You will need T-Mobile SIM to switch out to T-Mobile, but you should be able to use your same Sprint SiM to switch back to Sprint.

when i ported back to free line it was not allowing(throwing some error) customer care team connected me to credit check team and they deleted my existing social record without any questions.

How is the sprint signal reception based on one's experience in NY downtown, NJ area? The sprint signal map shows good but wanted to confirm before port. Thanks
