Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

The Boost Mobile Moto G6 Play is $79 at Walmart and has been successfully activated on this plan by many in this thread. You can use the MEID and ICCID on the bottom of the box to activate a new Sprint line before unsealing the box. If it doesn't work you can return it to WM. https://brickseek.com/walmart-inv...=247042233
Edit: It may or may not be unlockable though.

I see you have changed your post. I was asking specifically which Walmart has on clearance...not the "google search" version LMAO
Boost Mobile Moto G6 Play version is what Walmart sells as stated by Humbug. The Google search was used for specs.

It is only a loophole that these phones were allowed to be sold without in-store activation on Boost. Walmart goofed up.

Boost as a prepaid carrier requires one year on Boost to unlock. Your phone will not qualify for this obviously.

"Prepaid Unlocking Policy. Carriers, upon request, will unlock mobile wireless devices no later than one year after initial activation, consistent with reasonable time, payment, or usage requirements." https://www.fcc.gov/general/cell-phone-unlocking

However. if they do sell you one and you manage to activate on Sprint, Sprint postpaid requires only 50 days to unlock. Unless they call you on it and say go to Boost to unlock. But your odds are good so far.
So is the loophole closed now?
Asking as you said "were"...

Thinking to try it in next two days...so should I not?

If you can get one, it looks more solid than ever because they apparently know about it (according to a Walmart employee posting on Reddit) and decided that the problem was just that Walmart was supposed to require in store activation on Boost. Supposedly a circular was sent out telling staff to require in-store activation on Boost. If that is the only "fix", and if staff fail to read the circular, it seems it is still clear sailing.

Other than that, they are apparently letting it go, just like they did for the iPhone SE's. They let those that got on Sprint stay ok without problem.

So I think it will be ok still if you can get one and can get it on Sprint.

I think it is great that the phone has wifi calling and I think HPUE. I think it might support VoLTE when that is released in a few months, since it seems to have HPUE.

I just re-upped my free year of Sprint by porting out and back in under my wifes SSN. Question for you guys, I had $90 or so of credit on my account. Will they send me a check for this? My son had accidentally bought some thing from his phone that they billed to the account. Luckily I was able to get Sprint to reverse the charge but it took a couple of months and I had to initially pay the bill, then got a credit applied later. Anyone have any experience with this? I loath to try to even call and ask. I'd probably get transferred 4 times to even find someone that understands why I'm calling.

Just do billing chat. There are different types of credit - service credit and cash credit. It seems to me it should be a cash credit which should be refundable if so.

How do you stop people buy stuff on Sprint using their phone?
I'm thinking sign up lines for my parents but I don't want they accidentally buy something.

You can block purchases on the line. It's a setting you can select on the website. I also blocked my parents so they don't accidentally buy anything.

The easiest and safest way to upgrade after 120 days would be from your online sprint.com account. Going to the Sprint Corp. store or Costco/BB/etc., is inviting issues and perhaps losing the free plan.

I have not been with my account for 120 days yet. However I noticed after the second day my status in my account changed to eligible to upgrade. Is there any way to confirm I can do an upgrade? Or am I okay to upgrade once status shows?

I'll have to check for you later. It's hard for me to login to the site until the Motorola is fully setup with sprint. After changing to the 6 play my phone identified in my account changed to NULL, and I can no longer choose my phone number for verification. I can only login when I have my parents read me the number I send to their phone.

I'm pretty sure you can also do it with chat or phone call if you need to get it quickly.

This is a bug that happens all the time and you cannot upgrade till 120 days. Call 866-782-8777 and they will confirm.

Call the number in the wiki. Be sure to say you want the free 1 year service. They will do credit check and approve you for 5 lines(hopefully). DO NOT say anything about it being a boost phone. Say sprint motorola phone. If they say you must have the insurance, don't fret, you can cancel later by chat or from within your online account. Review wiki and you should be good. Plan on spending about a half hour on the phone call.
