Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I was on previous BYOD free 1 year plan already, which was expiring next month.
I took the chance and cancelled that plan, Ported my number to T-mobil pre-paid as mention in this thread.
And called Sprint to get on this new BYOD free 1 year plan. When I called, my old account poped-up on their screen and the operator told me that they need to take care of that account first to get on new plan. (Basically what he did is removed my SSN from old account, and then applied for new plan.)
It did go through and I am now on new plan - Free for another year.
All done in less than 2 hours. got lucky.

Only if S7 edge is the unlocked(unbranded) model(935U) or sprint model(935P). Only if iphone 7 is A1660 model not the A1778(no CDMA).

FP numbers are actually voip numbers on a local carrier that varies by area.
Usually they port fine but in a few cases they are not portable.

Some older phones may give a lot of issues. Sprint prepaid phones are not eligible at all.

You can also just get "TMobile numbers for port" on Ebay for $3 to $5 and leave your fp lines as they are for now (unless you need to move the phone off).

You can go one phone at a time to start but I would aim to get them all done by the end of the month just in case.

Thank you for your help.

I refuse to buy phones but maybe i need to inorder to take advantage of this deal?

Just used it in Germany, Italy, etc. No extra charges. In fact, when you first enter a new country, Sprint sends you a text message telling you your texts and data are free, and the per minute phone rate (which varies by country).

As far as data speed, it was plenty fast for Google Maps, Uber, restaurant searching, etc. Was it capped to 2G? Dunno, couldn't tell. Didn't try to watch youtube, lol
Great, sounds very similar to the T-Mobile plan setup. Thx!

Anything I know in that price range is likely problematic also.

For $80 you can get new Boost Moto G6 Play, which even has Wifi Calling, but it is theoretically not eligible as it is prepaid and many reps will not activate them. You would need to read back through recent days in this thread for the various ways in which many people have nevertheless managed to get them on.
So any prepaid phone is ineligible on Sprint's network, period (not just byod)?

Hello,

I am on Virgin mobile free 1 year plan expiring 8/28/18. I put the IMEI of my unlocked iPhone 6s plus and current phone number into sprint website and it says ineligible. A couple of questions:

1. Can I use Verizon post-paid SIM card to port out of Virgin? Can I use deactivated T-mobile prepaid SIM card?

2. Will my iPhone get released after I port out from Virgin?

3. Hard or soft credit check?

Thank you.

You can sign up a pay as you go account with tmobile and get a new number. I did it. No cost
Do you mean no cost at all or just no cost for a new #? What about the $3 for the plan?

"PAY AS YOU GO
Talk & text starting at just $3/month."

I had the same issue as you. Wrong information provided for porting out as I was using FreedomPop. Received email to call them back and that is where the problem starts. Don't call using the email provided number or the porting number.
Always use the BYOD Free 1yr number
866-782-8777.

I had to call twice before I was changed back. First time only credit back for 1 month charge but account never change. Remember if you enroll in the free hulu, removed that. Free hulu only for the Sprint unlimited plan with full payment. Even now after three months, I am still getting adjustment for the full payment I made one month.
how did you find out the account # and pin from freedompop? using the new sites my.freedompop.com but the port out page is all blank..

I thought Freedompop numbers are virtual numbers that can't be ported out.
