Could anyone confirm that refilling minimum $10 for the ebay virtual tmobile sim is required to make it eligible to port into Sprint?
I called Sprint twice with my activated Tmobile sim but they still said it is ineligible.
Also the Tmobile account number is 1+ my number right? And the pin is 6 digits code?
  • Order the Tmobile prepaid/pay-as-you-go SIM card. Here's a $10 T-Mobile starter kit
  • Once you receive the SIM, call T-mobile customer care and ask them to port your sprint number to T-mobile. No need to signup for any type of plan. Just give them your Sprint account number, PIN and phone number, as well as the T-mobile SIM card number. Be sure to have all that information ready.
  • Your number will be ported to T mobile in less than 5 minutes.
  • Your Tmobile Account number will be your phone number prefixed by 1 (ex: 1-234-567-6789) and the pin number will be the one that you setup initially during the porting or activation process.
  • Note that each of your T-mobile prepaid lines will have a separate account number – it's the phone number of each line prefixed by 1 for that line. Again PIN number is whatever you set during the number porting/activation of that line.
  • Wait for about an hour and then initiate a chat with Sprint Customer care and verify that your Sprint account is cancelled or you can check online here and it'll tell you if you device is eligible.
  • Now call back the Sprint tele-sales number and port your T-mobile number to Sprint with the new SSN.
  • All in, you should only be out of service for a couple of hours, and you'll then have another year of free Sprint service.
(from docofcredit post). Maybe it helps?

I'm a bit confused on the use someone else's SSN instruction – is this referring to basically setting up the account in someone else's name entirely and then just adding your number to it?

Or, is there some way to add the number back to original account with a different SSN (which now that I've typed seems unlikely, but thought I'd check).

Are people planning to make a new account (under new name/SSN)?
Reason you need another person SSN is only for existing Sprint customers can't take advantage of this promo again. Unless they wait for 45 days after leaving then they would be considered a new customer.

Say what nonsense you want. The updated links are to an up to date eBay link and not to one that is sold out. Also my instructions are consolidated and comprehensive so folks don't have to read several posts to get all the info. Best not to answer a fool

If you buy T-Mobile $3.25 digital Sim from eBay no topup is required for port out of Tmobile. The account number for Tmobile prepaid is as you said. Pin is what you created

No you don't. You need to ensure that the port was completed over to Tmobile first- you can call Tmobile to verify the completion of the port. Next you also need to confirm that the Tmobile account number and PIN is correct with Tmobile CSR as well.

Port out of Sprint into Tmobile digital sim for $3.25. Then port back into Sprint for another free year. When you port out of sprint you'll get a bill for the remaining iphone 8 payments. at least with another free year of byod sprint you dont' have to worry about paying for service- https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=117049859&postcount=18122

I already bought the virtual sim from ebay and created a new tmobile account and number. I tried to port it to sprint but they refused it. Do I need to recharge the sim in order to make it eligible for port into sprint?

Many people are successful on that route. But my experience is similar to yours. But finally i was successful in porting. Once you activate your T Mobile sim, follow the steps of free for one year eligibility and followed by ordering a new SIM (you need to pay 12.99 plus taxes), once you receive the sim (one day shipping), you can activate online. It may take 1 day service disruption, but finally itworked. Sprint customer care is bunch of confusion makers, either they will get confused or they ensure that the customer is getting confused., Just my thought.. Happy porting back to Sprint,.

I assume you are calling the special promo phone number in the wiki, correct? I also assume they accepted your imei. If not, then the port hasn't gone through yet. If they are saying your tmo account number is incorrect, then try it without the 1 prefix. If all that fails, then yes, contact tmo as previously mentioned. I'm also wondering if you just today paid off your iPhone and maybe that's the hold up in releasing the phone. It would help to know the exact steps you've taken so far.

I just started my brand new one year with sprint. My first year was scheduled to en July 31 so maybe I jumped the shark, but I was worried as the 7/31 date loomed near, they might yank the promo.

I went to a Tmobile store last Friday and ported all my lines out to the Tmobile PayGo (pay as you go) plan. The department that handles this is called Tmobile Rebellion. The total cost was $13. $10 for the SIM kit plus $3 for the monthly fee which includes 30 minutes/texts and no data. My mistake was I came home in order to port and Tmobile messed up the porting and it took over 48 hours for one of the numbers to port.

Yesterday/Thuesday I called telesales and ported all lines back to a year of Sprint service. I was also told I can have upto 10 lines. As of now I have 4 but the rep will call me Friday to add the remaining lines.

Yes it will for all Note 8 models and the sim is SIMOLW416Q or SIMGLW416Q. Either will work.

Check it in the checker too.

Wow you are right! A two month extension.

Now, that is the end of savings date, and does not obligate them to also extend the offer date to 9/30/2018, but I expect that is what they will have in mind.
